Nelly is 30% off in the Steam Summer Sale, tell your friends, yada yada yada.

Enough about Nelly, this update is about a new adventure game called...

Unforeseen Incidents

Unforeseen Incidents is a conspiracy mystery with a subtly black sense of humour. It's being developed by a team called Backwoods Entertainment, and published by Application Systems Heidelberg.

It's a classic point-and-click created by Marcus Baumer, and I have joined the team as co-author and co-designer. It's 100% Marcus's project - I'm working with him on the English script, and helping flesh out and stress-test the plot and puzzles. So here's the reason for this update:

Vote for UNFORESEEN INCIDENTS on Steam Greenlight!

Vote for us on Greenlight, and join small-town handyman Harper Pendrell as he's drawn into a mystery involving a cryptic radio signal, a deadly disease and a fanatical cult. Armed with nothing more than his trusty multi-tool, can Harper get to the bottom of the conspiracy?

As you can see, it has a gorgeous, unique art style created by Matthias (backgrounds) and Sebastian (animation). It also has a wonderful array of characters, whose dialogue I'm currently in the process of re-drafting. Inspired by Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight, as well as Twin Peaks, the X-Files and Fargo, it's a delight to spend time with this cast of oddballs and recluses.

I think you'll really love this game, so please help us get on Steam. If you have any comments or questions, I'd be glad to pass them on to the team.
