There are those on staff who insist that "Placemat" is not a word. The proper name of the magazine according to the dictionary should be "Loquacious Place Mat". We at Loquacious Placemat are on the fence about whether or not to correct this minor error. Some think it's quirky and/or irrelevant. Others think it is an abomination on the order of spelling "cheese" with a "z".
Do you have an opinion?
A really strong opinion?
For $100 dollars, you get everything in the $35 dollar tier, the opportunity to cast the deciding vote, and a letter of gratitude from those staff members whose position you endorse.
**While delivery of the physical rewards will be slated for May 2013, we'll be asking you to decide the grammar issue as soon as funding is completed so the correct spelling is used in the redesign.**
Ideal for vendors/venues looking to support Loquacious Placemat and get some advertising in the bargain. Or enthusiasts ready to share Loquacious Placemat with the world. The $200 dollar tier gets you a 50 copy per issue subscription to Loquacious Placemat, listing (including image and link) on the "Where to Find It" section of our website, and shout outs on social media including Twitter and Facebook with the release of each new issue.
You get the complete $200 dollar package, as well as the opportunity to serve as Guest Editor of 1 issue of Loquacious Placemat.
As Guest Editor, you would get to assign a theme (if you wish), choose the final pieces from a selection narrowed down by the editorial staff and write your own guest editorial for the Loquacious Placemat Website.
**As with the Grammar Police Special, physical delivery of the magazine subscription would begin in May 2013, but we would need your input on your themed issue soon after funding is complete so we can put out a call for submissions.
You get everything at $200 tier, PLUS the honor of being named the Patron Saint of Loquacious Placemat for the year 2013. (Subject to approval to make sure we're not canonizing a violent despot or dangerous lunatic)
This will include a position of honor on our masthead as well as a special commemorative issue featuring stories and poems of your exploits and accomplishments by people who have never heard of you and yet are tasked with the goal of creating a literary mythology around you.
This issue will be released in November 2013 during The Feast of Saint [Your Name Here]
