Have a question?
Hi everybody, the promised update is a little late since our welder needed a bit more time. We will update you on the process Wednesday.
Hi Tim, absolutely. Every frame will get an unique number. We will simply count upwards. So that means since you are backer number 12, your frame will have the number 12 engraved.
Hi Bob, quite a while ago I ask you I there is any possibility to number the first 100 (or 101 backers) bikes. Do you this "wish" is still on topic? Greetzzz Tim
Yes there are some new developments, the first frames will be welded next week so thats very exciting. We wil post an update about it at the end of next week.
any new developments? According to your last update things should move on rather quickly after January 21! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi Markus happy new year to you to!
There is light at the end of the tunnel, we will post an update about it at the beginning of next week.
Happy New Year! Please keep us informed about the developments. Any light at the end of the the tunnel? Spring is near.
Thanx for the update! Great news. Will keep fingers crossed.
Hi Bob & Tom,
according to your last update you expected to produce the first frames around this time. How is it going? Any progress? Any chance you will finish this project in 2017?
we haven't heard from you in a while. Any progress?
At this moment we are still busy with preparations for ordering the molds. We will post an update about it next week.
We did foresee the possible problems concerning the material however we did not foresee that is would take this long. We are doing everything we can to deliver the bikes as soon as possible. However we want to deliver a product that is of the highest quality so we do not want to cut corners.
Update would be nice. Although I thought in the first place that November 2016 would not be a realistic date to finish such a project, I now start wondering why those problems concerning material testing could not be foreseen. Any progress?
I also replied to your private message but it are some good questions so I will post my answer here as well.
The Indiegogo campaign ran for a very short time so we did not sell any bikes trough that campaign. We decided that we first want to focus on delivering the bikes to our Kickstarter backers before we started selling again.
We are almost ready to order the molds needed for production. This means the first bikes will be ready mid summer. We wil post an update about this next week at the latest.
About the fenders, when the molds are finished we wil ask al backers for the preferred frame size and color. At that moment you will also have the option to add fenders to your order.
It will be the fenders shown in the campaign, Curana C-lite.
how is the production status? One more question: You have also a campagne on indiegogo with the similar delivery date. Will you deliver all bikes in the same time?
The spring is almost there and I am looking forward to have a status about production, estimated delivery date etc.
Best thanks and regards!
would like to ask you for some pics and Information about the Option fenders. Thx.
Production update would be nice. Spring is almost there!
Another month passes...
Hi Bob, I would be glad if you give us an update. Thanks and best regards.
@Geram: This is your chance, only 11 hours left to get your Mokumono at a super early bird price!
21 hours to go. Would love to see this!
@Geram: Sadly we had quite a few cancelations after we reached 100% funding so thats why we dipped under our goal of 90.000 again.
It is indeed the bike you saw 2 years ago on the Design Academy Eindhoven, it was my graduation project. This is the third prototype.
Guys, what is up with the last few amounts? Is Kickstarter slow with updating the pledges? Is this the bike that I saw a while ago at the design academy? Good luck!
Congrats!! Succes met het vervolg van het project. Ben benieuwd naar het resultaat in (hopelijk) november.
@Emanuel: No problem. The red we will use for the production version will be very similar/ the same as the color we used for the second prototype.
Hey Bob! Thanks for the answer! I have another question, this time concerning the colours!
I saw that one of the prototypes had a brown/red colour and is wondering if that colour will be available?
@Markus: Thanks for the kind words and backing!
Tried to resist for a couple of weeks. To no avail. Beautiful project! Just pledged for a single speed.
@Emanuel: The main difference is that there will be a shifter on the handle bar. The 8-speed hub is a bit bigger than the single speed but the cable goes through the frame so it still looks very clean.
Shipping the bike with slimmer tires is no problem, the Continental Grand Prix 4000 4 Season tire we use also comes in 23 and 25mm. You will be able to confirm this after the campaign.
Hello Bob, I have a couple of questions, first of I am wondering how different the 8-speed will look to to the single-speed, like how much the gear shifter stands out on the handle and how large the hub is, I like the clean look of the single-speed but also want the functionality of the 8-speed!
Another question is concerning the rims and tires, how wide will the rims be and would it be possible to maybe have the bike shipped with a bit slimmer tires?
I really hope this project pulls through! Best of luck!
I hope you will reach you goal following days.
Nice color options
That's great. Beautiful color! Think I will choose the 'Profondo Rosso'.
@Eloy Hensen: Yes it will be very similar to the color we used on the second prototype.
Glad to see the color options. Is the deep red color the same as the previous prototype shown at DDW last year?
@Eloy Hensen: Thanks for backing! A free local pick up is a great idea. We can not change the rewards at this point but you will get a refund of the shipping cost when you pick up your bike up.
pretty nice project, good luck
Misschien is het voor Opper- en Nederlanders aardiger, leuker, gezelliger om tzt een afhaalfeestje te regelen in plaats van €25 verzending. Cheers!
