We are raising funds to make a feature length documentary which will be unique in the way it portrays dyslexics i.e. dyslexia is not a learning disability - it is just a life long learning challenge! It will be humorous, quirky and optimistic, made by dyslexics for dyslexics to entertain and inspire others to discover their own passion in life.
After receiving so many positive stories and messages following the original short doc, I realised just how many like me, need to share their experiences. As knowing you are not alone is both liberating and cathartic. We all have bad days, but with dyslexia bad days usually include being unable to concentrate, spell or think clearly.
The ultimate weapon against it is to develop a strong sense of humour, so we are able to laugh at it and with those who laugh at us. Therefore it will be a mix of comedy sketches, animation and personal stories revealing talents and abilities. Demonstrating that dyslexia is really more of a super power than a vulnerability and that we are dyslexic and proud!
The 'Time Lapse Films' team have been together for six years, since meeting at University, and have made several short docs and films. Funds raised will be used to buy more professional equipment, animation, post production, logistics and location travel so we are able to include the most interesting and uplifting stories.

Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges of the project will be the usual suspects. Our main concerns will be co-ordinating the availability of the production team and the interviewees, and the time schedule and budget responsibilities. This project is very personal to me as I am dyslexic, and intent on the world seeing this positive take.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
