I have sent an email to more than a month requesting for a steam key. However, there was no reply yet.

By breaking their silence here, WI demonstrates that they ARE aware of people demanding updates, they just don't care, and that they want us to KNOW that they don't care.

So with all the bad reviews for planar conquest I doubt it will be a financial success and Wastelands Interactive won't have the money for the physical rewards.

I can't understand the mindset of a developer that operates like this. Do they think we'll just go away if they ignore us long enough? Or do they just not care at all that we're over here shouting ourselves hoarse?

You take care of your backers first. Period. Disregarding them like this is disgraceful.

    10. James Spurny on September 19, 2016

At this point we need a way to request a refund, as they apparently have no interest in ever actually giving us what we paid for.

    12. gorkomatic on September 16, 2016

Yeah, same here. And honestly, the approach "email us and we might send you key for the thing you paid us over three years ago" is really annoying.

Well, live, learn, and never back certain people again.

So since the relaunch in May, we've gone from "a few weeks" to "4-6 weeks" to "mid-August" for when I might be getting my -backer copy- of the game, and now well into September we're back to mysterious silence again.

I really regret backing this project. At least it's been educational. I knew that there were risks of the game being delayed, or never being finished, or just not being any good. But it never crossed my mind that the game would be completed and released, and the devs wouldn't bother to send me a copy.

    16. John GT
      on June 1, 2016

Well, I still don't Steam...ever, so I'll just hope for the DRM version somewhere down the road.

Now that WoM...isn't WoM anymore, should I assume any/all of the Add-Ons I opted for are integrated into Planar Conquest, or simply abandoned?

Also still got nothing so far. Also why they send a PM to every backer that contain nothing else then a link to the steam page for the new game is complete beyond me.

    18. Sasha MacPherson on May 30, 2016

Still waiting on the original game here, too. I signed up for a DRM free version back then and never go anything. The last word I got was in 2014, which they announced the Early Access for Steam users. :S

About the upgrade to Planar Conquest. Well, assuming that I am ever going to get anything at all, will that game be released for Linux as well? Steam has only the Windows symbol for it and you know, the primary reason why I backed this game back then was its Linux support, so...

Never, never, ever back a video project. I backed three in 2013, including this one. All three have failed. No delivery. In one case, the designer/developer sold his design studio and disappeared altogether, taking our money with him. I will never, never back another video project again.

So how do I get my copy of Planar Conquest?

    26. Petrell on March 26, 2016

@garkham: GOG rejected WoM half year or so ago. Here's hoping Wastelands Interactive will resubmit Planar Conquest and it'll be accepted so I can claim my promissed DRM-free copy.

As far as I can tell Planar Conquest is what Worlds of Magic should've been on launch. You could call it Worlds of Magic Enhanced Edition instead. It'll contain everything WoM had so there will be no reason to play WoM once Planar Conquest comes out.

    27. garkham
      on March 8, 2016

Mh I think I don't get all of this. I'm part of this weird team only playing DRM-free and waiting for the physical game. Can you just explain me if :
      * I will get a DRM-free version of Worlds of Magic or not ? On GOG or not ?
      * I will get a physical edition of Worlds of Magic or not ?
      * I will get a DRM-free version of Planar Conquest or not ? On GOG or not ?
      * I will get a physical edition of Planar Conquest or not ?

If only getting one of the two games, what Planar Conquest does not have (in content) that Worlds of Magic had ? Don't say 'BUGS' hey, I'm just wondering if I will lose something by non playing at WoM 1.0 because Planar Conquest it's a real sequel, or if it's most an "Enhanced Edition" that integrates all the original WoM stuff.

      Thanks in advance.

    28. Wastelands Interactive Creator on March 4, 2016

Yeah, I'm with Jaysyn: what is Planar Conquest? Admittedly, I lost touch with this project when time stretched on, I don't Steam...ever, and anything I did hear was negative. So I just stopped pursuing information. Suddenly, an update in my e-mail about a game I've never heard of. Is Planar Conquest just WoM with a new name?

NewYear.....2016. This is the quarter they alluded to that would see them deliver physical rewards. The countdown starts towards March 31. Still have heard NO updates since August from them, and I have no game, and no physical rewards on a pledge made in May 2013.

    32. GonzoGonzales on November 23, 2015

I would have never guessed that the developer will disappoint us! But no words on the physical reward and still after all that time getting nothin is a hard truth!

The last update in late August spoke about first quarter 2016. This now makes the game over 2 years late by the time it is delivered with the physical rewards and relaunched (non beta) PC version . But they were specific about this and as much as I hate the wait, at least they communicated their intentions, which is OK by me (still hate the wait).

    34. GonzoGonzales on October 23, 2015

In addition still no word about the box reward! A pitty ! Seems they stopped supporting the game....

Have you forgotten that some of your backers DO NOT have the game at all at this point? Why are you unable to make this happen, or even explain what the holdup is? Why are you talking about tablets and consoles as if anyone here still waiting for their PC copy wants to hear it? Do you need me to list off the ways you could fix this? I shouldn't have to, because they're pretty obvious.

    42. Wastelands Interactive Creator on July 13, 2015

I've received information from GOG that their version should be available in July.
We wanted the game to be released at the same moment as the STEAM version but later we decided to hold until the game will be in state that both parties will be. With the upcoming 1.2 patch we are pretty happy, so the beta has been already sent to GOG.

All the physical rewards are going to be delivered as soon as possible, but at this moment I'm not able to give you any specific date.
Please remember that if you ordered physical version, there is also one digital copy included for you.

Together with 1.2 patch we are finishing the extra content for backers, so digital extras should be sent this month.

@Andy Smith, if you take a look at your email, you will see that the key has been sent within about hour after you requested it, in private message.

Sometimes it might take longer but we are doing our best to send the keys as soon as possible.

In my book, it is an utter kickstarter failure to deliver the promise of what I backed. They took my money, delivered an inferior product on a platform I did not pay for, and I got nothing in return. Except their refusal to acknowledge me or the obligation they have to me (and other backers of physical rewards).

I requested a steam key back in March after the offer was made. Requested it again recently but I still have no key. I assume the quality control of the game and the mediocre reviews it has received will result this not appearing on GOG anytime soon. Hopefully I'm proved wrong on this but I'll add this to my list of projects that have failed to deliver anything to me.
