SONICAM is the perfect camera for any professional or hobbyist looking to record in 3D or for use in VR. Spherical videos can be used for business, fun and everything in between.
Using "SONICAM 3D Spatial Sounds", we have developed the ultimate tool to direct users attention. Sound is mapped in full 360º to the 3D video, enabling you to create sounds from any direction and draw the user's attention to where you want them to look. Spatial Audio is essential to VR as it creates a believable experience that matches with the users senses, immersing them into the world you have captured! Without it, unsynchronized visual and audio sensory inputs jades the VR experience.

The Science Behind The SONICAM 3D Spatial Sound
Real-time video stitching is done combining SONICAM’s proprietary algorithm, and using an FPGA. It's intuitive and really easy to use!
Unlike traditional 360 cameras, we have a preview function. Now you can preview the images and videos while shooting and capture the perfect performance!
SONICAM supports H.265/H.264 encoding for RTMP and RTSP live streaming broadcast.
With our professional 9 * Sony Exmor R & STARVIS CMOS Image Sensor, SONICAM excels at capturing images in low-light environments while maintaining high picture quality in visible-light.
ISO, White Balance, Shutter, Professional Gamma Setting, Brightness, Sharpness, Saturation, Contrast; play around and customize all this and more! We provide the RAW format of images, so you can create your own work of art.
We know that Time-Lapse is a must for professionals. Select different time intervals, put it in position and record awesome Time-Lapse videos for you to share.
With the SONICAM Player App, you can control everything with ease. Available on both iOS and Android, it allows you to remotely control and shoot with SONICAM. With Wi-Fi, you can

SONICAM was founded with the goal to revolutionize the virtual reality industry by providing an affordable 360-degree and VR camera to professional consumers and hobbyists. SONICAM is built with the goal to push the boundaries of virtual reality industry.
Founded in April 2016 in Shenzhen, SONICAM was pioneered by founder & CTO, James Zhan, co-founders Danny Zhu & Xiaobin Liu, each with 20+ years work experience in multimedia development for top international companies. James Zhan has applied for more than 100 parents during his career with rich research and development experience at Huawei.
The team now is made up of 25 members, includes more than 20 engineers who specialize in software, hardware, FPGA, algorithm, and test engineering.
Moving from our initial idea, we took time to make several prototypes to finalize the ultimate design and functions. It was not easy, but we did it!
SONICAM will become available online in late 2017, and in select stores at the same time. However, super early-bird backers of the KickStarter will have first access to SONICAM at a reduced price point of $1,999. In early 2018, SONICAM will retail for $3,999.
This project is promoted by Jellop, a direct response online advertising agency specializing in Kickstarter campaigns on Facebook Ads and Google AdWords.
Risks and challenges
The main R&C are associated with the fulfillment of parts and materials from our manufacturers. However, knowing this, we have put in extra time to set up and nurture primary and redundant manufacturer relationships. In the case that our primary manufacturers are unable to fulfill our orders, for whatever reason, we have multiple alternative relationships in place that will allow us to fulfill our orders on time as promised to our backers. Any difference in prices will be our responsibility and never our backers. SONICAM will cover any additional costs that may arise as a result of having to switch manufacturers.
Another R&C that we have accounted for, is ensuring that we’re able to fulfill SONICAM at the prices we’re offering on KickStarter. We've run multiple calculations to make sure that the pricing adds up and accounts for the following: quality of parts/materials, assembly time, shipping costs, packaging, labor costs/time, etc. Everything is in line with what we're promising!
If for whatever reason our calculations turn out to be incorrect - instead of asking our backers to contribute more money - SONICAM will take full responsibility, and personally pay for any additional costs.
The time we've spent communicating with manufacturers and working with them to secure the right pricing for parts is well spent, and goes directly towards reducing all the risks and potential challenges.
We've also tackled a potential overload in demand by limiting the amount of units to be assembled and delivered within the next 6 months (October 2017). If we're able to assemble our products even sooner than estimated, we'll ship them out then. However, our main priority is delivering the best product possible.
We will keep an open dialogue with all of our backers through frequent, transparent, and thorough updates.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
