Last One In, A Zombie-Themed Card Game
Last One In is a 2-4 player, zombie-themed card game, where players race to save civilians or flood their opponent's town with zombies!
Welcome To The Zombie Apocalypse!
LAST ONE IN is a zombie-themed survival card game, where players compete to rescue civilians while flooding their opponent's town with zombies.
In LAST ONE IN everyone plays both Zombies and Civilians. The winner is the first player to rescue 50 civilians or inflict 100 zombies on their opponent. There are a variety of special effect cards to confound your opponent too.
LAST ONE IN will also be a modular card game with the option of purchasing add-on Packs* which can replace cards in the decks to alter game-play. This gives replayability whilst preserving a satisfying mix of strategy, skill and luck.
*Add-on packs will be added to rewards if the relevant stretch goal is reached.

A Closer Look At Some Cards From Last One In.
Here is a closer look at Aaron Howdle's art for the King Of The Dead card.
Creating my own game has been a dream of mine since starting to play card and board games. YuGiOh, Magic the Gathering, Munchkin and Star Realms are but a few examples of inspiration. I wanted to create a fun balance between board and card games, yet retain the competitive nature of collectable card games.
In early 2016 a concept dawned on me in… don’t laugh… a dream about running demonstrations of a game. I guess all that time thinking about and playing games had penetrated my subconscious mind.
I transformed these ideas into text-only cards and began play-testing the game with my partner Janine West. We refined the mechanics, considered the game-world, card terminology, special card effects and modular aspects to the game. LAST ONE IN was born.
By mid-2016 it was time to start playtesting the game. The Yellow Book Bar in Brighton’s centre provided us with the perfect venue for such a venture.
It was at The Yellow Book Bar where I first met the illustrator Aaron Howdle. After a few games with the text-only cards, Aaron realized he had to be involved, setting about producing artwork. Prior to his career in Illustration, Aaron Howdle spent nearly a decade working in Product Design and Manufacturing. He brings this experience and knowledge to LAST ONE IN.
We then produced a demo deck and began touring events and shops throughout the South East. After hundreds of fun-filled hours, LAST ONE IN was complete.
In November 2017 we launched our first Kickstarter, which sadly did not succeed. We gained valuable experience from running the campaign and thanks to some of our playtesters we’ve made improvements and minor alterations to the game which will help it succeed this time around.
We can’t wait to get LAST ONE IN out to you, our backers, ready for you to pick up, play and enjoy.
Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges
It is very important to us that LAST ONE IN is produced to an excellent quality standard.
With this in mind, we have lined-up one of Europe's best games manufacturers to produce LAST ONE IN.
We will do our very best to ship LAST ONE IN on time, and have invested considerable time getting everything in place for a smooth release. However, sometimes there are small mistakes on artwork or a manufacturing error is noticed when checking proofs.
If we are faced with a choice of releasing the game with some flaws or achieving the highest possible production quality, then we will go for quality every time, and this may cause a slight delay in shipping.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
