Spell Check - A Graphic Novel
Spell Check is an original graphic novel based upon an animated script that I wrote which I have decided to bring to life via print.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Sun, November 4 2018 5:00 AM UTC +00:00.
Welcome to the world of Spell Check.
Our story follows the life of a young witch, Sora, a natural talent with a bright future and on the path to join the Witches Hall of Fame. An unexpected event changes everything and she loses her ability to cast a proper spell.
Now an adult, Sora's life has been unspectacular to say the least. An unexpected visit from her niece, Izzy, has given Sora a chance to turn things around and prove that she can fulfill her dreams.
Spell Check is an all ages story that both kids and adults will enjoy. It started off as an animated script and made the finals of StoryPros 10th annual screenplay competition in the Family/Teen/Animation category.
The success of the script made us want to bring it to life as a graphic novel and we started working on it in 2017. All the pages are drawn, inked and we are over halfway through the coloring process. This KickStarter, if successful, will give us the funds to finish the coloring and self publish the book so we can bring it to market in the later part of 2018.
The first book will be 79 pages of story in full color.
Remember, KickStarter is an all or nothing funding site. If we do not hit our goal, you will not be charged for your pledge. If you like what you see and want to support with more than a pledge, please share the campaign with others.
You can also "like" and follow our FaceBook page for updates including sneak peeks of artwork from Book 2.
We appreciate your support and now to the good stuff!
Here is a look at some of the pages of Spell Check.

She has worked with Zenescope Entertainment, Alterna Comics, Scout Comics, Upper Deck, Amryl Entertainment, and various other publishers. She enjoys utilizing bright palettes every bit as much as she does grit and darkness, and always strives to further storytelling through the use of color.
Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges are minimal.
We have successfully run a KickStarter campaign before and are aware of the work and responsibility involved.
All the artwork has already been penciled and inked. We have 61 of the 79 pages colored and are close to finishing the coloring process. We are starting the lettering process during the Kickstarter and it will be completed in time with the last colored pages being finished.
We have worked with the printer in the past and don't expect any issues through that process.
We will keep you up to date throughout the process as well with regular updates.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
