QST is a subscription-based tabletop game program that will deliver a BRAND NEW, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN small form factor game directly to your mailbox EVERY OTHER MONTH!
As cool as getting a new game every other month is, what makes QST really special is HOW these games are made. Each game is an unprecedented collaboration between three creative superstars. So, every other month you will experience a totally unique game crafted by a team of your favorite creators!
The KICKSTARTER-EXCLUSIVE price is $12.99 per game (plus shipping)! It will ONLY ever be offered at that price during this Kickstarter. If you back this project, you will be able to renew FOREVER at the $12.99 price for as long as you keep your subscription!
The regular price for QST will be $19.99 per game for 12 months (6 games) and $22.99 per game for 6 months (3 games). So, the campaign offers an INSANE value you will not see again!
Each game is a unique three-part collaboration between three creative visionaries from different disciplines.
The CONCEPT: The creator behind the concept dreams up the themes, worlds, and story elements of the game. This part of the creative process defines “the big idea” and will start the game designer on a path. The concept could be anything—it may be a deep dive into a single character or the kind of wide-path description that comes with true world-building. The fun of the concept phase is the totally open canvas the creator has to explore and create.
The DESIGN: An experienced game designer takes the concept document and works “top down” to bring the theme to life and make the most compelling game possible. The game may be a very literal interpretation of the concept’s core elements or it may be an in-depth exploration of one specific aspect of the idea. It’s up to the game designer to find the fun!
The ART: Once the design is complete, it is handed over to the artist, who takes the concept and game design and crafts a distinctive visual appearance and components that bring the concept to life. The artist’s mission is to create a game that looks unique and unexpected. Some of the QST artists come from parts of the art world that have not been represented in tabletop gaming before, so it will be VERY exciting to see what they do!
QST will send you a small form factor tabletop game every other month, which means our standard packaging will be 4.5 x 5.5 x 1.5 inches. Inside the box will be whatever combination of elements the game designer decided is necessary to bring the concept to life. This could include but is not limited to cards, tiles, meeples, timers, dice, and spinners. Anything the designer can imagine is on the table!
The games will target 2-4 players and a playtime of 30-45 minutes. However, it’s ultimately up to the creative team to decide what they want their game to be. Heck, you may get a single-player game with 5 spinners one month, and a 6-player worker-placement game the next month. The one thing you can be sure of is the game will be FUN!
The first QST game is being developed internally, which allows us to show you an example of the type of game you will be receiving and gives us a head start on shipping games to you!

Game Title FORECLOSURE: Dungeon Masters Tavern
Firegloat the dragon was SICK of having his cave raided! Over and over, adventurers would force their way in and steal from his treasure horde! Somedays he would be left with NO TREASURE HORDE AT ALL, a fate worse than death for a dragon! Having had enough, the angry dragon retained legal counsel. “It’s time to sue!” the beast declared, and in a stunning turn of events—and a HIGHLY watched televised court decision—Firegloat received a summary judgment against the Dungeon Master and his cohorts at the Dungeon Masters Tavern!
And so it came to be that Dungeon Masters Tavern was foreclosed upon. All the worldly goods collected by these “brave” adventurers must now be auctioned off to pay the enormous settlement owed to Firegloat.
As the monstrous overlord of a local dungeon, swamp, or crypt, you have been invited to come bid on these rare and magical items. YES, you can acquire this loot and add it to your treasure tables … I mean, treasure piles!
Foreclosure: Dungeon Masters Tavern is an exciting 2-4 player blind auction game that pits you against other “boss monsters” in a race to acquire the most precious loot. Not only will you have to outbid the other monsters, but you must dodge the effects of angry adventurers and use the items you acquire to buff your bids and sabotage other players!
60 Magic Item Cards, 44 Currency Cards (11/player), 11 Disgruntled Adventurer Cards, 4 Auction Slot Tokens, 16 Bid Slot Tokens (4/player), 1 First Player Token, 6 Oversized Monster Character Cards
On the first of each month in which a game will be delivered, we will announce the game and the three creators who collaborated on it.
At that time, QST will release a highly produced video introducing the creative team and unboxing the game’s components. The video will then transition to an entertaining “How to Play” introduction to the rules and strategies. This will be a fun way to see the game played and learn the rules, so when the game hits your mailbox a few days later, you will be totally ready to host an awesome game night!
Looking forward to the announcement of the creative team every other month will only add to the excitement. The combination of incredible talent is a big part of what makes QST so special. Just try to imagine the different combos of creators and the amazing/crazy/fun games they will come up with together! What kind of crazy concept will the “father of electronic gaming” Atari-founder Nolan Bushnell come up with? What kind of game will Bruno Faidutti, the creator of Citadels, make? We don’t know, but we’re pumped to find out!
One of the goals of QST is to create truly collectible board games. To that end, the components and packing of QST games will be very high quality and feature art that will never again be used. That means the game you get in the subscription box will NEVER again be produced in that form. We have decided that each game will have a minimum ONE YEAR cool-down period before it’s even considered for reprint. And IF the game is reprinted, it will have different packaging and be missing any SUB-PROMO materials. SUB-PROMO materials are small additional elements that QST games may include at the designer’s discretion, such as several variant cards or a small additional component. Again, the use of these promo elements are up to the designer, but they will not be included in reprints, making the original subscription version of the game EXTRA special.
During the Kickstarter campaign, we will be running a promotion to find the best possible concept for the “13th game.” This concept will come from the QST community and be chosen by the QST community! ANYONE can tweet a picture of their idea on the official template HERE. The submission with the most favorites and retweets (combined) will be the 13th game. The winner’s idea will be the starting point for an amazing game designer and artist. And then everyone subscribed to QST though the Kickstarter will receive the game at the end of the first year!
The 13th game will NOT be part of the regular subscription, and it will NEVER be produced again. It will truly be the rarest of all the QST games. Will you make it part of your collection?

Risks and challenges
This is not the first Kickstarter or tabletop game project for the principal team members of QST. We collectively have produced MANY products. All manufacturing elements have been established and production is ready to begin. The product pipeline has been built to support delivery every other month once the first game ships. We anticipate the first game shipping March 1, 2018. This date is mapped out and should be safe. The one element out of our control is the participation of our collaborators. We have agreements from all the people listed in this campaign to contribute to the eventual products, BUT the reality is someone may get hit by lightning between now and when the games are made. We, sadly, are not in control of lighting (oh, but if we were!), so if we lose a contributor we will make sure to replace them with someone equally excitingLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
