The Twist Press® has been brewing at Barista & Co® for the last 2 years, and has gone through countless designs, tests and prototypes, but now it’s finally ready to reveal, and set the next coffee revolution into motion.
The Twist Press® is a new coffee press that brews consistently delicious coffee with a twist. The versatility of the Twist Press® allows it to create a range of flavours to suit any coffee lover’s tastes, whilst keeping very low acidity and no bitterness. It’s rapid brewing method can create an amazing cup of coffee in as little as 30 seconds – if you’re in a hurry.
The Twist Press® is produced using a high-grade polypropylene and BPA-free Tritan™ to ensure it can last for years, even after it becomes your favourite coffee maker and is used multiple times every day. Finished in contrasting matt and gloss black surfaces, it doesn’t only look great, it’s incredibly easy to use, a dream to clean (unlike those French Presses) and is still lightweight and compact, so don’t settle for great coffee just at home, take it on your travels with you – the built-in coffee storage compartment helps you do just that.

Effortless, controlled twist motion
Torsional forces and corkscrew designs have been used for decades to increase leverage when it comes to dealing with high pressure levels, and we wanted to be the first to integrate this effortless motion into a coffee maker. Our patent-pending twist design allows you to have full control of the press speed and aid even coffee extraction, whilst requiring little effort.
Fresh coffee in 30 seconds
Making something beautiful doesn’t always have to take a long time. Explore different brews with different methods and timings, some as little as 30 seconds. Now there’s no excuse to use instant coffee, here's the proof:
Maximum solubles, zero sediment
The Twist Press produces an ultra-clean coffee concentrate with almost zero sediment in the bottom of your mug. Drink straight away for a strong coffee, or dilute with hot water or milk to create a variety of coffee types.
Inverted brewing
Thanks to our unique design, using an inverted method is easier than ever. Brewing in inverted mode allows you to stop any unwanted dripping and brews a smaller, stronger coffee portion.
Coffee Storage
Fancy taking your Twist Press on your travels or just to the office? We don’t blame you, not only is the Twist Press compact, it also has a storage area for 3 additional servings of ground coffee, so you don’t have to mess around with extra containers.
Bin, rinse and brew again
We should spend time brewing not cleaning, we keep this ethos close to our hearts in everything we do. Wave goodbye to hassle-some cleaning.
Spare paper filters and parts will be available globally in major retailers, you will also have the chance to add more filters to your Kickstarter pledge at the end of the campaign through our survey at a discounted price.
The Twist Press produces a smooth, rich coffee every time thanks to an incredibly quick brewing method. A concentrated pocket of air presses hot water downwards through a chamber, rapidly immersing and extracting freshly ground coffee before pushing a super-clean brew through a paper filter disc and into your cup.

Side-by-side you'll taste the difference straight away between a pod coffee that was sealed over a year ago, versus the freshness of a Twist Press brew.
A fan favourite, whilst incredibly clean and delicious, not all of us are patient enough for the slow water pour this brew needs. The Twist Press is just as clean and has added versatility.
The Twist Press will brew a similar coffee concentrate and has the ability to produce a coffee for the same range of drinks, at a fraction of the price and doesn't have to live on your kitchen counter.
Dripping water over one area leads to uneven extraction unless it's always stirred, the pressurised filtration and immersion that happens inside the Twist Press chamber helps even extraction and rapidly washes the solubles from the ground coffee.
We’re a UK born and bred coffee accessory brand, based on the South Coast of England. Headed up by husband and wife team James and Louise Gray, we have a vision to create a community of people who believe in better coffee for all. Our location between the forest and the sea sums up our beliefs about what coffee should be; natural, authentic and full of life. We’ve seen how great coffee can bring people together, and we want to recreate this through our products.

Shipping
You may have noticed there are no delivery costs in the rewards, this is because it will be charged via Shopfiy when we collect your order details and shipping address at the end of the campaign. Using Shopify and charging shipping later comes with its benefits:
- We can complete your order a lot easier, with live tracking information
- Allows you to tell us if you've changed address since you've backed
- Make changes to your pledge after Kickstarter has finished
- Add other Barista & Co products to your basket - hello filter papers
- We can push any volume savings on shipping costs directly to you
- No backers are locked into an old overpriced shipping quote
- Backers can choose from a handful of shipping options depending on the service level you desire, with 100% transparent costs
- We can continue finding couriers up until the shipping date to find the cheapest methods available

We've done our best to eliminate import and tax fees for most countries and are happy to say that UK, US and more will not have to pay duty. But unfortunately it's impossible to do this globally as every country is different, please note that some backers will be required to pay import fees, just like any other Kickstarter project. But rest assured we have triple checked our reward pricing to ensure we are offering you the best ever pricing to balance this out.
Risks and challenges
We have been developing coffee makers and accessories since 2013 and together our team has launched hundreds of products, gaining countless years of experience in every stage of the product life cycle, from product design and management to international sales and logistics, so you can rest assured the Twist Press is in good hands.
Our manufacturer is very well established and produces products for some of the biggest international brands whilst specialising in plastics. The tooling has been produced, final samples have been approved and we have completed a pilot production run to ensure our tooling is operating to our very high standards. Next, we need to push the button on mass production and meet factory MOQ’s, this is where you have an important part to play.
There are always risks with any production, be it a first batch or an established product. But we are confident we have minimised as many risks or delays as possible. As a brand we focus on our customers and believe honesty is the best policy, you are on this journey with us and we will update you every step of the way – even if it’s just to say everything’s on track.
