Hey again, fellow Moonshiners!

Posted by 2fat2fly Games (Creator)
First of all, we owe you an apology. Caught in solving various things (detailed below), we kept postponing the update and before we realized, 2 full months passed (man time flies when you're busy! LOL). Solemn promise: from now on, we'll send an update every 2 weeks, no matter what! :) So, what kept us busy since the last update:

Let's begin with a nice SURPRISE.

I know is not Christmas yet, but that's not a reason to not give you a nice surprise already. A lot of you wrote us in emails and comments about the much desired plastic insert. And since we were so close to reach that last stretch goal, it made all the sense in the world to have it, especially since "Moonshiners of the Apocalypse" deserves the best, right? So we're more than happy (yay!) to tell you that the plastic insert is a reality. All the components of "Moonshiners of the Apocalypse" will be neatly ordered and laid in a cool insert.

Spiel '18 in Essen. Veni, Vidi, Vici. We've been there and we're so glad we did! The "Moonshiners" table was FULL all the time, and many of those wonderful people were backers, eager to try the game. The feedback was more than good (which is at least another reason to be proud), we met tons of lovely gamers and some of them, even pre-ordered the game after testing it. We had such a wonderful time, were seriously thinking of not only going back next year, but crossing the ocean to at least one of the major conventions in US!

BG CON, (in Mures, Romania). A small but brave local convention, which we couldn't say no to, especially since last year, "Moonshiners of the Apocalypse" won the First Prize at the "Game Design contest". This trip kept us busy for almost a week, but again, we met lovely people, and why not, played a few cool games.

 20 Miniatures.

Miniatures are all done, checked and over-checked and sent to manufacturer. In a few days the process will begin and soon after that we'll receive samples for approval. Man we can't wait to hold those minis in hand! Goes without saying that we'll share pictures as soon as that happens and we're gonna brag with those pictures everywhere we can :) Regarding miniatures, as soon as we approve the samples, the process of creating the molds will begin.

 Printing the game.

For sure you remember that during the campaign a lot of stretch goals were unlocked, that required more art to be created. At this moment (actually since a few weeks back) the new characters, Event Cards, Booze Crates and Relics, along with the rest of the art files for "Moonshiners" are done, checked, organized into what we call "printing files" and prepared for printing and about to be sent to the factory. Soon the printing process will begin as well.

Did you filled your "Moonshiners of the Apocalypse" survey?

It happens after every Kickstarter campaign: people forget about pledging, the emails go straight to their "spam" folder, or they simply miss the emails. Usually, creators rely on the weekly email reminders from the pledge manager platform to call all the backers to action. But we believe that's not enough. So we spent a lot of time trying to find all these backers and remind them to act on their pledge. So if you missed the CrowdOx emails, now is the time to fill in the Survey, especially since soon the production will begin and we will close the "late pledge" option.

Most anticipated Game of 2019? "Moonshiners of the Apocalypse"of course!

Actually, we need your help for that. Please go to and vote "Moonshiners". It would be more than cool to see our little game climbing up that ladder! :)

Again, we promise not to miss an update again and we salute you!

Until next update: Happy Gaming everyone!

@Angela: Tentacles of Frosted Wisdom: We already demanded our manufacturer to design the insert with sleeved cards in mind :)
      Thanks for the thought! :)

Everything is ready for production and we're only waiting for the last few backers to complete their surveys (another week or so).
They received the pledge managers emails weekly since the KS campaign closed, but it wouldn't be fair to close the pledge manager until we at least do our best to try and remind everybody to complete their orders.

so the pledge manager is finally closed? :-)

@Martin Wöls: You indeed pledged and completed the survey :) Everything is fine, thanks! :)

    5. Mr Anderson

      Martin, try

You should really save e-mails from campaigns or even make a note in the "View Pledge" page here that you completed the survey, how much, and what for. And welcome to Kickstarter

How can I check if I pledged? I had a lot of pledges lately. :) You guys got any link to check status?

    7. Mr Anderson

The real issue here is if the large fella in the photo is going to flip the table or not..... Why does nobody care about the well being of other folks? He looks like a grizzly bear that has been provoked. Please feed!

With the inserts, does this mean no expansions in the future or just a throwaway insert if one does come out?

Thank you very much for the plastic inserts.
It made my day a whole lot better 👏🏻

    9. Angela: Tentacles of Frosted Wisdom

@2fat2fly Could you make sure the insert can hold sleeved cards? :)

    10. Mihai Ungureanu

Awesome moonshiners are awesome. Thanks for the BGCON shoutout :)

Yes, the plastic insert was (almost) an unlocked stretch goal so it will be included in both Standard and Deluxe versions of the game.
