Ignatz Nomination + Summer 2017 Needs You

Posted by 2dcloud (Creator)

Hi everybody <3 <3 <3 !

Thank you so much for your patience. Most of the Spring Collection backers have received their packages. A few packages are still being prepared. It is our priority to ship orders to you as soon as possible. We are very sorry for the lateness. This level of lateness is unusual for us.

We’ve gotten help from the amazing Minneapolis community including Boneshaker Books for packaging until now, but since the 2dcloud office is moving to Chicago, Raighne has been basically doing everything by himself w/ some help from friends here and there, while filing for divorce and maintaining Summer tours like Safari Festival. Raighne’s been doing a lot of this while couch surfing between cities. He's a bit overwhelmed.

Our new Summer 2017 Kickstarter has only 1 week left, and we need to raise $3.35K. This has been our hardest campaign yet. Money is very tight as we stretch to pay the printers.

I hope with all of my heart that we can get through this difficult year and flourish in 2018. Chicago is going to be a great home for 2dcloud.

We have gotten great press for Summer 2017. Philippe Leblanc did a write up for the Comics Beat: Watching the Crowdfunding: A New Critical Chips and 2dcloud’s Summer Season 2017. Rob Clough wrote on High-Low that Architecture of an Atom was the book of the show when he got an advanced copy at the CAKE. Andy Oliver on Broken Frontier did an awesome write up: Preview: ‘Kindling’ by Xia Gordon and ‘Architecture of an Atom’ by Juliacks – Books to Grab at Safari Festival from 2dcloud! Xia Gordon was interviewed for the Comics Beat by Philippe Leblanc: Interview – Xia Gordon’s Upcoming Abstract Comics with 2dcloud. Juliacks was on Process Party with party dads Mike Dawson and Zack Soto.

Summer Collection also includes the long-awaited debut graphic novel Lost in the Fun Zone by Leif Goldberg from Fort Thunder and queer apocalypse SF for our age Retreat by Jaakko Pallasvuo.

There is also exciting news about Spring 2017! Margot was nominated for an Ignatz Award! She will be tabling with 2dcloud at SPX and we hope she wins <3 <3 <3!!!
