Here are some statistics given by the WHO onto the numbers of annual deaths in the world:
Not lethal burns: 265 000 deaths
Drownings: 360 000 deaths
Asthma attacks: 383 000 deaths
Falls: 424 000 deaths
Road accidents: 1 250 000 deaths
Heart attacks and avc: 15 000 000 deaths
Among these million dead people, more than half would be on time still alive where you read these lines if they had received the necessary first aids. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of the population really know the gestures which save.
The objective of FIRST AID saga is to learn its gestures which save by playing and by having fun. It is of course possible to inquire and to learn them in books, on the Internet, by means of trainings. But very often, books either do not handle in depth the subject and gives only a general vision either are medical books not entailing the craze of the population. On the Internet, the information is found in the account drip and very often little attractive. As for trainings, the most advanced are often paying and require a schedule allowing to participate in it.
Why thus not spend a few minutes a day and in a playful way to learn a maximum of techniques from the simplest to the most complex?
As you will certainly have already understood above, FIRST AID saga is a free game allowing to learn a maximum of techniques of first aids and preventions. A game of levels, where every level will begin with an animation staging a concrete case in which an action is required.
Every level must be completed as fast as possible before the chronometer reaches zero.
At the end of a successful level, a discount is made and you win plasters which will allow you to free objects which will be necessary for you during certain interventions.
The situations can vary from a simple insect bite to the use of a defibrillator. From the assistance to people making an epileptic fit to the intervention during a natural disaster. The difficulty of the levels going crescendo as you move forward in some 200 levels thought at present in this phase of concept (the number could quickly increase). Some levels will be summarizing quizzes so as not to forget the previous levels. When you will arrive at an advanced level of the game you will unlock the ability to challenge your friends or other random players on a trivial quiz.
Here is an interactive wireframe of what the game will look like.
Warning this is just a sketch of what it will look like. The idea is to do it in 3D in a style that can appeal to all ages.
For all ages
- Children from 8.10 years
- A teenager who is bored and does not know what to do
- A worker who spends hours on public transport
- A grandmother who already plays 10 different games on her new tablet
- A president of the Chamber during a parliamentary session
For the moment, not many people.
An illustrator, a designer who, during a webdesign training, had to create a game interface. Looking for a theme a little less viewed than a match 3, he began to look for ideas on the side of the serious game and realize that almost nothing exists in first aid or that they are often unattractive. The idea of FIRST AID SAGA was born. And now at the end of a year, the idea must leave her brain to take concrete form.
An administrator who, when she was a little girl, preferred to play bills, pay slips and other administrative documents rather than play the perfect little housewife. These fingers are eager to tap keyboards and other calculators on an important project like that of FIRST AID SAGA
And as you will have understood we need to integrate in the team a little more people if we want to see the application born before the end of this century. For example: Developers, animators, illustrators, translators,...
Your help :-).
As you've certainly realized, this game is really in its face of concept. But we shall require many resources and ways to finish it. It means: a room, computers, equipment, people, lots of people.
The idea would be to be able to finish it by the end of 2018 but without sufficient budgetary resources we will not get there. That's why we call on your altruism so that we can build our company structure and start the project definitively.
Risks and challenges
The only real risk we may encounter is that we can not afford the illustrators, animators and developers we need to complete the game.
Our intention is to be able to complete it by the end of 2018 at the latest. And even if the finalization takes a bit of late we will be able to, at the latest, give promises to anyone who made a donation on this crowdfunding in the summer of 2018 (maybe before).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
