Welcome to Londoners: The Board Game!
Londoners is a new board game where you and your friends can fight for control of the city.
We believe London is an amazing city full of interesting people and places. Where other London-centric games fail to reflect this, Londoners celebrates it, allowing users to play as one of nine different characters and compete for the parts of the city everyone knows and loves, through a variety of different missions.
For example, players can be Hipsters and take over East London or be the Bankers and buy up the city. With Londoners you can battle for Battersea, skirmish for Shoreditch and negotiate for Notting Hill!
AS SEEN IN:
At the beginning of the game, each player is assigned a character, each one with a different mission. So you can be bankers and buy up the city… be hipsters and take over East London… Or be the football fans and own all the stadiums.
There are nine characters in total. Complete your character's mission to win the game but make sure you stop others completing theirs first!
To get the game started, each player is given a character with a specific mission. The regions card deck is then dealt out, assigning everyone’s starting positions and your Little Londoners (your wooden playing pieces) are deployed. From there, players take turns to attack each others' regions, by rolling dice to decide the battle’s outcome. The more regions you take over and the more Little Londoners you have, the more chance you have of completing your mission.
And that’s where the fun really begins. The Londoners Board Game is as much about what happens on the board as what happens off it! Negotiations, treaties and deception are completely allowed in Londoners, all you have to do is agree the terms with another player. And if you go back on your word? Well, that’s just the way things go, no one said you have to be nice to succeed in London town.
HOW IT ALL STARTED...
We’ve played Risk® with friends for years. There’s nothing better than trying to outwit your friends over pints and pizza on a Sunday afternoon.
One cold, rainy night in London we came up with a plan to create a new game based in the city we love. We wanted to create a game that we could be proud of. Months of testing have gone into developing the board, the game play and refining the missions. We've ensured Londoners is a balanced yet challenging game that’s easy to pick up.
WHAT YOU GET IN THE FULL GAME
The Map: The M25 surrounds a London that has been divided into 6 zones.
- The North West in Metropolitan Line purple
- The North in Northern Line black
- The East in Central Line red
- The South East in Circle Line yellow
- The South West in District Line green
- The West in Victoria Line blue
Each zone is divided into different areas. These are all real areas, but exact location and size have been adjusted to improve gameplay. Areas that are directly touching one another or are connected by one of the bridges crossing the Thames are considered adjacent.
The playing map is beautifully printed on canvas for easy storage.
Area Cards: Each area of London has a card that also displays a form of London transport. At the beginning of the game these cards are used to assign which areas you inhabit at the start. During the game, cards are cashed in for Little Londoner playing pieces, depending on what combination of London transport you have.
Not only that, the Area cards double up as a fun mini game!
Character Cards: The nine Character Cards show the mission that is assigned to the character, as well their accompanying caricature and fun quote. These are dealt out at the beginning of the game. Be the first to complete your mission, and you're the winner.
Alternatively, for a longer, more traditional game, do away with the mission cards and see who can be the first to take over the entire map!
Your Little Londoners: Your playing pieces are painted wooden cubes and towers. One cube represents one Little Londoner on the board. The larger towers represent ten, to help you save space on the playing map.
Have a look on the right side of the page for detail about all the different rewards on offer. But here is some more detail about a selection of them...
The full game
With any of the “full game” rewards you’ll get the game board, printed on canvas, 5 dice to attack and defend your territories, a full set of the Little Londoners playing pieces in 6 different colours and a deck of cards containing the 9 unique character cards (with their associated missions) and the area cards.

Why wait for a park bench to be named after you. Be immortalised and get your name, or your loved one's, printed on every copy of the full game that is produced.
Just the cards mini game
The area cards double up as a simple and fun mini-game. Perfect for locations where you don't have access to a table. Not ready for the full game just yet? How about just the cards?!
3D Pieces Rewards
Are you a Londoner? How about playing a game that has been designed just for you?! We have a selection of rewards where you can work with us to get a one-off board designed just for you and your friends. Including the option to have playing pieces... of YOU!
All you’ll need to do is come to a central London location to have your ‘3D photo’ taken. We’ll then arrange for your pieces to be produced and send them to you with your complete game.
PLEASE NOTE: All consultation rewards will require you to travel to the meet-up location yourself... but I'm sure we'll buy you a drink or two!
Risks and challenges
We're already playing the game with our friends, so we have all the elements designed and ready to go. We have our suppliers lined up. But in order to be able to order all the different parts in a quantity that will make it affordable for others, we need your help so that we can simply press play on production.
We’ve had samples printed to ensure high quality production (and we're playing on the latest board right now!)
We’ve also consulted lawyers to ensure there’s no infringement on copyright of existing games.
