Happy Holidays and a Happy Update

Hey Dear Readers!

I'm very pleased to announce that Iron Circus Comics will be handling both the publishing and the reward fulfillment for this project, and everything is proceeding along much quicker with their much-needed assistance. The boss at ICC has asked me if I'd post the following message from her, regarding their plan:

---

Hello, everyone! I'm C. Spike Trotman. Dean's been kind enough to allow me some space on his project page to make this announcement.

I run Iron Circus Comics, and I'll be handling the printing and distribution of Something Terrible. I've been talking to Dean about this for awhile, and we've just recently come to the conclusion Something Terrible and its backers would be best served if Iron Circus took over production.

Iron Circus will be in charge of fulfilling physical pre-orders for Something Terrible, and Something Terrible only. Bonus material such as commissions, posters, bookmarks, stickers, and so forth are still up to Dean. However, I do plan to adhere to the announced stretch goals associated with the book, such as the hardcover upgrade.

This is going to take us a little time to figure out, but I've run eight Kickstarters of my own, with six successfully fulfilled and two in the midst of production as we speak.

Something Terrible is an important book, and it needs to be out there where people can find it; bookstores, libraries, comic shops. I want every backer to leave this project with what they ordered, and I want to do my part to make sure this happens.

I'll try to keep you folks updated with where we are in production, without cluttering your inbox.

Thank you so, so much for your continuing patience. I promise, your books are in good hands.

---

I'm incredibly grateful to Spike for her help bringing this project to completion for all of you and all of the folks who haven't read ST yet. Thanks as always for backing this project, and I appreciate your many kind messages along the way.

As a side note, I spoke to Tyler Flowers for the Do A Thing YouTube channel a few weeks ago at the shop. We talked about superheroes, making comics, and Something Terrible, and you can now see that interview here:

Have a truly wonderful holiday season, everyone! Keep your signals shining bright. :)

@Scott McClellan: Per this update "Bonus material such as commissions, posters, bookmarks, stickers, and so forth are still up to Dean. However, I do plan to adhere to the announced stretch goals associated with the book, such as the hardcover upgrade." so you should direct your questions about those to him as far as the add ons are concerned but Iron Circus will deal with the hardback distribution portion.

Per their website, it seems the only way to contact them is via Twitter, Tumblr, or their mailing list. Hope this helps.

I hope this project gets fulfilled.

Starting to think this is never, ever going to come. What happened to the last publishing company? Made it sound like these things were printed and nearly out the door.

I live in Georgia and I'm tempted to come to your comic book store and ask these questions in person. Its getting highly unacceptable.

Can you please just send me a refund, you've blocked me on Twitter and ignored all my emails.

I had questions about fulfillment now that Iron Circus is involved. My reward tier was to included a signed and sketched copy of the graphic novel. Will that still be the case? Also, I did an add-on for 4 additional unsigned copies of the graphic novel, and I wanted to be sure that I would have an opportunity to communicate to Iron Circus.

To those asking how to change your address: scroll up and click on the "View Pledge" blue button. A new window will pop up which includes a "Survey" tab. Click on the word Survey, and you should see your address. Click "Edit Address" (in blue). I had to do this a few times since I recently moved a couple of times and had to update my own address.

Glad to hear that there is finally some traction on completing the rewards.

I don't think there was any survey to put a shipping address, am I right?
When can expect such survey or how can we give address for shipping?

Great news on getting things fulfilled! Now that we're getting closer to a ship date, does anyone know how to change my mailing address? I've moved since this campaign started, and I can't figure out how to change my info on Kickstarter.

Dean, great news on the fulfillment of the book. I am looking forward to it, having had a family member deal with similar issues. It is an important story and I am looking forward to having the book.

Non-negative note, but I am curious as to what occurred from earlier this year where the printer/publisher that you had mentioned in a previous update is now no longer fulfilling the order. I'm asking not in any sort of pointing fingers way, but more for an understanding of what happened in the interim since the printer/publisher was announced in April and an update today of Iron Circus being involved. I have had project fulfilled by Iron Circus before, so I don't have any doubt that they will fulfill the book request. I'm curious (partly due to not a lot of updates, and this would be a great update to explain the timing discrepancy - transparency can be quite good to all involved).

I would really love to just update my address. In two weeks, I'll have moved THREE times since the project was supposed to ship and I've tried to get ahold of you on every channel available to be.

Since Iron Circus is taking it from here, is there maybe someone there I could talk to about updating my shipping address finally?

Hi Dean, I'm happy to hear that you will start fulfillment soon, but I would just prefer the refund. I've contacted you many times about it and you said you would refund me, but it hasn't happened yet.
