The end of the road at last!

Hey, everybody! Matt again. As of now, all backers should have their books!

It looks like some people moved since providing their addresses, so we are getting some books back in the mail from time to time, but we're dealing with those as they come. If there's anybody out there who has not yet received their copy of Something Terrible, let me know about it! Write me at great.lemur@gmail.com, and I'll figure out what happened with your order and make it right. A bunch of folks are still owed various non-book things (like prints and bookmarks), and Dean is working on those now.

This, for all intents and purposes, marks the successful completion of Iron Circus' involvement in the Something Terrible Kickstarter (except for any stragglers or misdirected books). We know a lot of backers were understandably unhappy at how long this whole project has taken, and we've done out best to assuage that. We consider Dean a pal with an important story to share, and we were proud to help him do that.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding, everybody!

Books are in the Wild! Other rewards shipping soon!

Hey Dear Readers!

This is Dean. Thanks SO MUCH to everyone for their kind words and photos of the hardcovers. It's been such a restorative feeling to talk to hundreds of folks who helped make this book a reality. Seeing it in the shops of the store-owners who've supported my work over the years like Area 52 Comics, A Comic Shop, The Rock Shop, Comics Toons N' Toys, and others have been especially cool, because it means even more people who need this story will finally have a chance to read it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that while Iron Circus did the heavy lifting of getting all the book rewards out to y'all, I'm sending out the posters, prints, decals, and other rewards in batches over the next several weeks. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to meet backers last week at HeroesCon, where almost every single one made a point of letting me know it was worth the wait and they were proud to have been a part of this. I'm more grateful than proud, especially for the patience and faith of everyone involved.

Drawing arm is working again!
Drawing arm is working again!

In personal news, I've had some unexpected healthcare recovery stuff going on with my back and nerve pain, and am drawing more than ever, which is good news my family and for many of my friends and fans who've been waiting on commissions. I've spent the last month working to catch up on my backlog and get my next two books underway: Emberwitch, a back-from-the-dead revenge story with some bite, which I'm co-writing for an incredible art team and an as-yet unnamed kid superhero team book my son and I have been talking about for years.

For now, THANK YOU. Your hugs and tears and hope and support have meant so much to me, and I'm so honored to have helped those of you who know how dark the night is. I've only got a small, busted signal myself, but I'll keep shining it. <3

Books are here! Answer/update your surveys!

Hey, folks! Spike of Iron Circus Comics, here.

2,000 copies of Something Terrible are currently sitting in the office of Iron Circus Comics, and if I get my way, they start going out NEXT WEEK.

If you ordered a hard copy of the comic, your ability to edit/update your shipping address will be closed THIS FRIDAY.  Please get that taken care of ASAP!

If you did not receive the email from Kickstarter about the Something Terrible KS survey and do not currently see a pop-up on the site urging you to fill it out, this is where to find the form:

  • Click your Kickstarter avatar in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Beneath Backed projects, click the grey View all button.
  • Find Something Terrible on your list of backed projects, and click the blue circle with the + symbol to the right of it
  •  Click the word Survey and fill it out!

And now, an important note: Dean made a mistake on the surveys, and asked for your address twice; once in a text field, and once using the official Kickstarter interface. Due to the nature of Kickstarter surveys, the text field is no longer editable. That's fine. WE WILL BE IGNORING THE TEXT FIELD SHIPPING ADDRESSES.

If you have to update your shipping address, please use the Kickstarter address interface. If you have previously filled out the survey, it is the only field you can currently edit. THIS IS THE ONLY ADDRESS WE WILL BE PAYING ATTENTION TO.

And please, do not email us an updated shipping address! USE THE SURVEY!

Phew. Enough bolded all-caps for ya?

Okay folks, that about covers it. We're in the home stretch in a big way. Let's get these loose ends good and tied-up!

If you folks have any questions about the project or your pledge rewards-  NOT ADDRESS CHANGES, USE THE SURVEY FOR THAT- please email Matt Sheridan, the ICC henchman, at great.lemur@gmail.com. (This is still Dean's Kickstarter account, so Iron Circus won't get any notification if you send Kickstarter messages.)

Thanks!

Progress continues!

Heya, folks! Matt from Iron Circus Comics, here. (That's right! Not Spike! I'm the henchman around the joint, answering questions and shipping orders when duty calls.) Dean pretty much has his hands full with a bunch of stuff right now, so he's letting us make updates for him.

Anyway, I'm happy to report that progress continues on track! The books are on their way from China now and due to arrive at the port Monday, adhering to the previously-posted schedule, and Dean's hard at work on the bookplates. You can see his progress on the Iron Circus Instagram account. Once we've gotten everything together and we're just about ready to start fulfillment, we'll send out a backer message and ask everybody to update their shipping addresses. I repeat, you will have an opportunity to update your addresses.

In the meantime, if you've got any questions, you can reach me at great.lemur@gmail.com. (This is still Dean's Kickstarter account, so Iron Circus won't get any notification if you send Kickstarter messages.)

Thanks, all!
