Koe has a new release timeline
We just wanted to provide a small update in relation to what happened during the end of last year- we have managed to get back into full swing production but with a few structural changes and how we're going to tackle the current balancing issues and update schedule.
Our original target- once Jitesh was on temporary leave- was to have the entire Koe world ready to play by the end of Q2 this year. We've decided to stick to that release schedule regardless of what happened, but we found that rushing parts of the game to get an alpha update rolled out wasn't the way to go because we just ended up with more work in the long run- mostly fixing stupid bugs we didn't think through and sub-par dungeon quality that we deemed not release-ready.
We've decided that we'll release one more alpha update before the end of March, following that we'll work towards releasing the entire world (read; the entire game in its crude form) before June.
Lastly, we would once again like to thank our fans and backers for the overwhelming support and unbelivable patience you've shown us during our downtime. Koe is a much larger project than anyone on the team envisioned and with each new alpha release it seems to get bigger and bigger, but your support continues to provide the motivation to make the best possible language learning experience we can.
Earth island updates
We've completed about 80% of the overworld for this island, there are a few caves and one side-quest that will not make it into the march update, but you'll get to see these story arcs in action.
New dungeons and words
We've doubled the amount of dungeons and increased the enemy count (not shown) by almost 50% from the current live version. We've added a few more simpler words, but fantasy-ised them for the new midworld we've teased before.
Yes- that's a floating ぐ you see near the crates- players who have made it through the old midworld know what's coming.
These two are near the end of the dungeon, and the end of the earth island story arc.
