End-of-year update

Posted by Strawberry Games (Collaborator)

Hi everyone!

This is a small continuation of the update in October, we've talked quite a lot about how we're going to tackle development into the new year and the following beta updates. Jitesh is currently back as project manager, but the circumstances around Jitesh's brother's passing have been difficult for him and all of us as both as a development team and good friends, especially with how close some of the team are to Jitesh, his family and his late brother. We wanted to thank everyone for their incredibly thoughtful messages and emails, and for your humble patience during this difficult period.

We've decided to take on a temporary programmer and artist to help catch up on a few things, one of them being the earth city houses and events around this area.

We've also made some real progress to one of the Kickstarter stretch goals- the Izakaya

Maybe some of you will recognise this familiar-looking puzzle.

We plan on taking on one more artist in early in the new year to work on with polishing a few very alpha-looking areas still present in Koe, and plan on releasing the next gameplay update during this time.

We'd like to kindly point out that if you have any unanswered questions or messages, or even if you have a new question please direct your message to this account (Strawberry Games) instead of Jitesh directly, as it'll get a much faster response from here. You can still contact us via email at contact@strawberry-games[.]com for general enquiries.

All the best to you and your family during the festive period.

@Adam, after the Earth town the remainder of total gameplay is about 50%. We worked almost in reverse order so a bunch of this is already completed. Thank you again for all the gameplay feedback and bug reporting.

@Thomas, it's likely but a little too early to say.

Will this ever move over to the iOS platform?

There have always been lots of delays, but really the worst thing that could happen is that the game never gets finished. Seems like the Earth town and surrounding area. After the earth town how much more of the game is left? Maybe 20% or so?

I really enjoy the game and have done a lot of playing and reporting on bugs. Looking forward to the next build.
