We have a new website and an Alpha update!
Koe (声) Alpha V0.2b (Community Feature Request) build is now live! If you have the Steam version please click this link to see how you can opt in to the correct beta branch for the new build. Humble store users simply need to download the new build zip for their platform.
Let's start with the new website first! You can check it out at koegame.net. It also has a small late backing section if you've been following the project and want access to the Alpha and final game on release.
Alpha update V0.2b
The biggest update we have is the updated world map scene. The entire scene now uses our custom water, lighting, shaders and textures, along with a completely revamped mesh. A little of the other islands can be seen in the current Alpha, but you can't go there just yet!
You might find a new monster or two floating around. Without being too spoilery, we think you should walk around a little.
We now have a custom joypad and controller configuration panel, there were issues with the mapping in our last build but it should be working fine now! You can access it via config on the main menu. You also have the option to configure it for multiple joysticks, mice and keyboards. All Xbox, PS3+4, and Wii U controllers are supported along with most logitech-branded pads.
We've added a visual novel-style log to the dialogue popup. Currently it uses the same button as the menu (Esc or Joypad Y) to popup. We had quite a few requests for this so please let us know how we could improve it!
These are a few of the major changes, but there's quite a lot more changes and bugfixes. Please check out the changelog for more info.
We want to get the quality of life updates rolled out first, so expect the world expansion update within a month. We'll update again when this happens.
