We have a new website and an Alpha update!

Hey guys!

Koe (声) Alpha V0.2b (Community Feature Request) build is now live! If you have the Steam version please click this link to see how you can opt in to the correct beta branch for the new build. Humble store users simply need to download the new build zip for their platform.

Let's start with the new website first! You can check it out at It also has a small late backing section if you've been following the project and want access to the Alpha and final game on release.

Alpha update V0.2b

The biggest update we have is the updated world map scene. The entire scene now uses our custom water, lighting, shaders and textures, along with a completely revamped mesh. A little of the other islands can be seen in the current Alpha, but you can't go there just yet!

You might find a new monster or two floating around. Without being too spoilery, we think you should walk around a little.

We now have a custom joypad and controller configuration panel, there were issues with the mapping in our last build but it should be working fine now! You can access it via config on the main menu. You also have the option to configure it for multiple joysticks, mice and keyboards. All Xbox, PS3+4, and Wii U controllers are supported along with most logitech-branded pads.

We've added a visual novel-style log to the dialogue popup. Currently it uses the same button as the menu (Esc or Joypad Y) to popup. We had quite a few requests for this so please let us know how we could improve it!

These are a few of the major changes, but there's quite a lot more changes and bugfixes. Please check out the changelog for more info.

We want to get the quality of life updates rolled out first, so expect the world expansion update within a month. We'll update again when this happens.

      Actually i take that back, it was playing fine. The downlaod percentage is 100%, but it pauses, with the status "Content File Locked". It also says "update required (not queued)" but whenever i try and force the update, it simply attempts for a fraciton of a second them goes back tot he same state

      @Jitesh The status that was displayed was something like "Data file Locked", but when i had steam verify it it said all files were fine. However, I started steam this evening and it seems to have sorted itself.

      @Keith, this should have updated when the beta branch was updated. There should have never been a corruption. Is an error message thrown?

      @Thomas, the beta_osx branch has an exe attached because Steam needs to download the default branch too (we're not sure why, it's a steam beta thing). The *.app will download once you have opted into the beta_osx branch. Could you send me a message with a screenshot of the download folder if this isn't the case.

      I can’t download for the Mac. It’s an exe file. Can we fix this please?

      It's a little odd that the update is on a beta branch, as you've gone and broken the version thats on the main branch. Well at least it explains why steam says i have an update, but then won't let me launch due to something being corrupt. Tried for the best part of an hour to verify my files and so on.
      It might be an idea to use the steam news channel to mention this.
