KALO has been touring for the past three years, improving our sound, becoming a tight-knit group and charting our future. For years, our friends and fans have called us blues. We've owned it, competing twice in the world's largest battle of the bands – the International Blues Challenge – in Memphis. But Jimi Hendrix himself couldn't be put so perfectly in a blues box. For this album, we're turning up the volume, amping up the guitars, ratcheting up the percussion and bumping up the rock. Longtime fans will love where we're soaring to. New fans will be happy to be along for the ride!
Our last album, "Dear John," was funded successfully through Kickstarter in 2012. We're ready to do it again.
We're even ready to give you a taste of what you can expect on our next album (the song on our Kickstarter album will be a single released on the new album!)
The funds raised for this campaign will go toward:
We will use any funds collected over the amount to really focus on promotion and a music video for the album's single, Isabel.

Risks and challenges
Being musicians means we've got to be resilient – you never know when it might rain at an outdoor festival, when your trailer tire might blow or when your guitar string might break. We have songs written and have recorded some of tracks already. We feel confident about the direction we're headed, but there could be delays in completing recording (though we don't plan on it), getting things mastered or getting the album pressed. That being said, we've got a a strong plan in place, and we're confident we will execute it. There is always the risk of unforeseen events affecting our timeline, but we will do the best to overcome those and will alert you to any hiccups on the road.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
