For over twenty years, I have been developing my art career in New York City, producing seven solo exhibitions, most recently in the spring at Sargents Daughters. I’ve also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Found: Queerness as Archeology: Queerness as Abstraction at The Leslie-Lohman Museum (2017), and my work is in prestigious collections, most notably the Museum of Modern Art’s Contemporary Drawing Collection. So after nearly two decades of making work with demonstrated achievement, a catalogue of my work is long overdue.
Well the design is printer ready! I am pleased to say that a pdf of a catalogue has been designed, complete with an essay by art critic Jane Ursula Harris. The catalogue will be a full color, 60 pages, with color plates. I have consulted with several printers, and now I simply am looking to secure the funding for the final production of the book. This has been years in the making, and now all I need is $3000 for the printing costs.
I see the book as an essential compendium of my work, with in depth writing that contextualizes my work to date. Beyond just being a vehicle for public relations, and promotion, this will be a portable artifact, that will reach many people, and widen the audience for my work, alongside a greater understanding of history and development my body of work.
For a contribution of as little as 25$, you will receive a signed copy of the book. For those who make greater contributions will be credited in the book. Please see my rewards for all levels of support. I am humbled and gracious for your contributions, and allowing me to finally have this book completed, and available. A heartfelt thank you.
