Have a question?
Well it was a good run guys! I got a lot of feedback from everyone, and think I have a good direction to go into from here. I will work to try and create something even better and hopefully have a different outcome in the end. Thanks for all the support guys and I hope to see you again in the future!
What Len said. I look forward to helping make this a reality
I'll be there. Make sure to write us all a message when you're back with scorched kingdom so we can support you from the start!
Hey Lennart! Ya it was a rough go, but I learned a lot from this attempt. Hope Ill be able to bring it back later with a little more advertising and momentum from the start. Need to change a couple things and we will see what happens. Thanks for the support!
4 days left and a lot of support missing. I was so looking forward to this. Hope you keep it up, tweak it a bit and come back to kickstarter with scorched kingdoms.
Thank you Mike! Im working on trying to get it out as many ways as possible for the final week. We will have to see, but thank you again to everyone that backed this project, it means the world to me even if the end goal is not met.
Thanks so much Dana! Right now I have 3 clans (or factions) for each kingdom in the works. I just could not move forward on art for them until after the Kickstarter, and will need to look into other avenues it looks like to start work on the next ones. I have all the concepts done for them, and want to get them all moving as soon as possible for everyone to enjoy.
I really like the concept and the art work for this game, hoping it gets a big push in the last week!
I really like the feel the artwork gives the game, and the different factions sound like they play quite differently; is there one faction that you can play for each kingdom?
Have you looked into taking ads on boardgamegeek? That is how I have found many games that I hadn't heard much about in the past. They might not add you to the list, but I can't imagine they'll turn down your money. If I think of something else I'll let you know.
Thanks Travis! Ya I was so focused on the quality of the game that I don't think I came up with a good enough advertising strategy to build momentum coming in. Im working on getting the word out everywhere I can. Let me know if there are any great places to post info. I am doing stuff with kicktraq and working with boardgamegeek, but can't get them to add the game to their list. I have been doing some with reddit, and the main social medias as well.
I am open to all suggestions from you guys though, you have probably seen what works best, more than me!
I am mystified as to why this game is not doing better. It looks just as good as others that are already funded. You need to get the word out! I'd love to get this game.
@Joe Rozier - Well if you're able to add the werewolf deck to an addon I'll buy that.
Or I can add it as a separate pledge level, whatever people would like more. Either way the price point will not be very high and Im hoping to add a decent amount of cards. Working with manufacturers as we speak. Let me know what you think!
I have actually created the concept for a werewolf style deck haha. The promo card will be a completely different card from the set. The card is for Kickstarter only and is a nice addition, but might not be worth $10 alone. It also matters if you wanted to be part of the SK Legion group that comes with that pledge level.
You might also want to hold off on your decision until we put the updates for the Siege Set as well. I can not add it to any of the pledge levels, but it will be an extra set of cards to go with the game that will be placed as an add-on.
The reason for this is I have received a lot of messages from people wanting to know if there will be a way to get extra cards if we don't hit stretch goals. So we are working on adding a set that was not going to come out until later, to add ons instead for those that find it worth it. The update should be up today for everyone.
@Joe Rozier - Game looks cool so far, love the art on the main page. Hope you have some nasty looking werewolves ;) (on their hind-legs, movie style)
Question: What's this special promo card all about? Is it totally new, different art of a normal card, etc? Reason I ask is because I have the $40 pledge and want to know if extra $10 is worth 1 card.
@Mark thanks for all the insight so far! Ill take all the help and tips I can get through this process.
@Joe - Heads up with BGG. That site attracts aton of elitist. People who think Board Games are the end all be all, and they are the gods of the community. So take feedback good and bad with a grain of salt when it comes to that sites community. Like I said before, it is a great tool for getting your game seen and noticed.
Thats a good idea to push there more. I was never a member before either, so am trying to figure it all out now. Thanks!
@Joe - My advise if you havent done so, is make your presence felt on BGG and possibly advertising banners if you have the funds. Thats a good way to really get noticed. Im not a BGG user, but I do back alot of KSers, and this I have seen work countless times. Anyway, I really want this game, and hope this funds quick! Fingures crossed.
Thank you so much! It has been rough finding ways to standout from the big companies. I think it will still do great, I just want to make sure we find a way to get all the stretch goals and extras to everyone. That way people can truly experience the game the way I wanted you to be able to.
I really want this to fund. Problem is your up against some strong competition. Wish you best of luck. Just hope amonth from now, we are talking about pledge managers instead of running a second KSer campaign to get this funded. Game looks so good. Just bad time of year for new designers. Even though you are what KSer is all about, big money companies have now taken it over and abusing KSer as its own pre order system.
That's a fair question. There are a good amount of mechanics to make cards from the different decks work together. If you want to stick with one theme, the best part of the deck building comes in with the expansions and the Tormentor deck. If we can't hit the stretch goals, Im looking for other ways to bring those expansions into the game for everyone. Even if some of them become add-ons, because the deck building aspect is very important to me.
Kind of curious. Is one deck sufficient for optimal deck building?
Thank you! You were #1
Good luck I guess! ;)
