Hello to more than 600 backers of the Open Well-Tempered Clavier project! Good news for you. Author and speaker Kent Gustavson has extended a special offer to you in support of this project, in particular for the stretch goals of making 50,000 new scores for blind musicians.
One of the most famous and influential blind musicians in the history of American music is guitarist Doc Watson. Kent has written a biography about Doc, titled "Blind But Now I See". In the spirit of helping the project, Kent is giving his book away to any backer of the project who pitches in an extra $20 on their pledge. That's all you've got to do ... up your pledge by $20, and Kent will send you the book. The $20 (minus shipping) goes towards the Open Well-Tempered Clavier project and brings us closer to being able to produce braille scores for blind musicians. Any new backers can likewise add $20 to the amount they're pledging and receive the book.
A big thanks to Kent for his innovative way of supporting the project, and telling the story of Doc Watson.
