Introducing WALLHALLA, the modular, 3d-printable miniature display system!
These 3d-printable STL files print without support and assemble (and re-assemble) without glue or additional parts. Wallhalla shelving units can be mounted on the wall (even using push-pins for smaller builds), or can stand on a shelf or in a display case. The parts are durable, easy to print and paint, and each shelf style includes versions with or without a round recess fitted to bases from 20mm-70mm.
Each set includes the basic configurations shown above, with variants on those shapes for different sized bases (for the versions that include recesses) and a few aesthetic flourishes unique to each theme (which we'll be adding and updating as the campaign goes on).
We'll be adding stretch goals as we go and we'll be looking at adding the following features (either as stretch goals as we prototype further, or in later releases):
- Slotted versions for adding clear acrylic covers
- Additional "terrain" details and shelves that can be used as vertical miniature terrain
- Shelves built to incorporate LED components
- Recesses for other base shapes (square, hex, et cetera) (+ADDED+)
- Shelves designed for magnetized components
- Lots of new themes (caves, modern city, post-apocalyptic, more)
Backers at the $50 level and above will get access to every stretch goal we release. Backer's at the $150 level will get a special seller's license that lets them freely sell 3d-printed versions of any Wallhalla parts with no obligation to us other than a mention of our company.
Risks and challenges
Most of the designs are finished with functional prototypes, so we should be delivering these on time, allowing a little longer for new themes and parts added via stretch goals.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
