Explode – This Writer’s Environment is a platform for curated content, in an interactive meta-environment -- with VR cinematic companions. Explode facilitates content and other stories that don’t just happen in Istanbul, where grand theater and skateparks are curated here.
Explode is space for curated art. It’s existentialism in the 21st Century -- a Meta marionette. Like buried treasures and found art, Explode This Writer’s Environment links to other stories that feature stories as narrative or physical imagery – Parkour extreme – theater – Springboard’s Curtain Call in VR.
This Writer’s Environment is where stories are props or stunts for other stories, and other works of art within stories; stories addressing code and praxis literally -- for plots, plays, parodies, allegories, symbols, styles, and tales -- like the Ghost writer, who intentionally exposed she authored Bars and Verses to interact with MCs, and the inside voices of those readers determined to follow Lamar Kendrick's cadence and Assassin's creed -- feeling the South Side viscerally, hearing the poesy of point and counterpoint, like footnotes that comment on stories told (My heart raced. Did yours?) and works in progress in medias res.
It is an interactive experience – in the round – where characters know they are in stories, and talk about storytellers and their work -- for points. Meta stories in a meta-environment of interactive experiences with Steadicams, and CAD through the South Side of Chicago, and where you can see the footprints of syringes in York County and Baltimore.
It’s the Louvre in Space – or an interactive virtual experience in Japan with a Black American Army Sergeant who incidentally speaks fluid Japanese says, “Hey, you wanna’ make some money with a decorated Yakuza?” Pimps in Tokyo! Hookers passing through!
It is not enough to get the attention of an audience – you have to hold it. A curated content-driven, interactive, meta-environment must do more than push information. An audience wants to pull information. We want to be beguiled – seduced – drawn in and we want points and goals for the effort.
When music streaming websites talk about content – it must be more than music videos and discussions about artistic processes and glam team solutions in the big room.
We the Poets want an audience for our art. We want to be more than spectators. We want to be participants in a different kind of game, in a space with different taste cultures. A word, a paragraph, a sentence, imagery, symbolism, allegories, motifs, math, language are all opportunities to mine for found art and buried treasures.
Would we court Madison Ave? You bet! Would we reach out to Mark Zuckerberg? Definitely. We would not ask him to invest in a venture he is not already invested in – like Oculus’ Gear VR and Rift. VR is a critical component for This Writer's Environment. If a poet can imagine it, VR Designers and Developers can build it.
Project #99 will focus on the indie film and VR companion for the One Act Play – Springboard! -- and perhaps its companion – Istanbul -- as the Starship for Explode The Writer’s Environment -- found art.
Risks and challenges

Explode The Writer’s Environment is space for visionaries -- poets, writers, coders, programmers, Filmmakers, Thespians, Graphic Designers, Artists, Musicians, Directors, Cinematographers, Designers, Educators, Historians, Actors, Conceptual and Performance artists, photographers, Virtual Reality Developers and Designers. We also need a Web Development Agency, Legal, Patrons, Staff, Producers, Teams, Tanks the Literati and the Underground.
Explode pays and gets paid for content and branding. It is a curated meta-environment where we experience different trips along the way. Risks and challenges are minimized when poets jack in and drill down for points and subscribe to the website for metafiction in a meta-environment.
Indeed, Bars and Verses on the South Side functioned like buried treasure. I envisioned my audience would know it is written to Kendrick Lamar’s and Assassin’s cadence, but when it ticked like a game, I stumbled on what I envisioned – interactive, edutainment, and Lust for Tidal (The Sweet Sixteen).
It is risky to quote NASA's theory of known knowns and unknowns, but we are a practical posse of poets on this sustainable planet this art collective -- Explode The Writer's Environment and its Starship -- the One Act Play Springboard! and Istanbul.
