Hi Edward - we're plugging away at it right now. We don't have a solid completion date yet. But we are hoping to get it out into the world next year sometime. We'll update you as we know more. Thanks! mike

Can't tell you how excited I am that you reached your goal and can make your film. Sounds like you don't need more interviews, but I have a lovely little one about Gene not permitting an older, not-so-special reporter to resign. Cheers, Murray

I'm grateful for all the support David and Mike received, but also I am grateful for how awakened we are becoming to the question of what makes good journalism. Congratulations!

Without a doubt, Hank Klibanoff has been a tremendous force during this campaign, and deserves a huge thanks for all of his hustling. It was way above and beyond and we are so grateful for his help.

David & Mike: Happy you reached your goal, and glad to have made my contribution on the day you hit it! I also wanted to volunteer to provide you with background from my research into Gene's purchase of the Inquirer, and his push to excellence, and Pulitzers. I got some wonderful stuff for my book "Pulitzer's Gold," a study of the great material that has won Public Service Pulitzers. I'd love to give you some information beyond what was in the book. (In the latest edition--2016 fm Columbia U. Press--it's pp. 2986-302.) I've been in touch with Hank K. You can reach me at royjharrisjr@gmail.com.

Any turnaround story is worth watching especially this one as this might help launch a new journalistic movement, perhaps! Other than that, there is some unknown magic to this particular kick-starter campaign...have been wondering about it...

Yes, Gene taught at Maryland for several years after leaving the Inquirer, and a quick stint at the NYTimes in the mid 90's. He retired in 2010.

I've posted info on FB and sent the link to every journalist I know. Keeping my fingers crossed! Gene was an extraordinary journalist. Hank Klibanoff has spoken so highly of him, and there's no better judge of character than Hank.

Any chance you'll offer a 'digital only tier'? I'd love to get an early look at the streaming film, but don't feel much need to acquire/ship a button...

We need journalists like Gene now more than ever.
