TEAM
The Cabot percussion robot was born in the mind of Hide, director of the Cabot development team (and guitar player/singer). “I wanted to create a product that would rev up my solo performance.” He assembled a team of various engineers and bounced ideas off of other musicians leading to the steady improvement of the prototype.
TIMELINE

Risks and challenges
PRODUCTION
We have already tested several working prototypes and have been working on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with our partners, including SHARP Corporation, a multinational electronics manufacturer based in Japan. We are doing our best to keep our process solid.
However, as sometimes things can go wrong, especially when you are creating a new product, there is the risk that we may have to change the design of the product, which may lead to manufacturing delay or changes in outlook, function or final retail price.
COMMUNICATION
We know communication is important for building trust between backers and creators. We will continually update the project status on Kickstarter.
SHIPPING
We expect to ship the first Cabot by March 2019. However, please note that this may be significantly affected by design and manufacturing conditions as mentioned above.
We can ship to Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Peru, Sweden, the U.K. and the U.S. We will consider shipping to other countries if we receive sufficient requests. To send your request, please go to “Ask a question” at FAQ. There are some countries we cannot service due to limitations by shipping companies.
