Risks and challenges
Every project comes with risks, and we’re no different. Between all of us we have over 30 years of experience working with manufacturers to produce products. We know first hand that delays and obstacles happen, but that first hand knowledge helps us to set realistic goals and overcome any challenges.
We have to finalize our design, purchase tooling, debug the tooling and then mass produce. We also have to get proper testing and certification done since we’re using batteries, wireless communication, and making a product that will hold food.
Our desire to ship product in February of 2019 reflects some expected delays in each of these areas because we know they will come up. We’ve seen too much.
We’re committed to shipping you a great product, made of high quality materials, and that seamlessly integrates into your life. So if a slight delay leads to improvements in any of these, we’re likely to take that tradeoff. But we’ll be sure to communicate all of this to you, our backers, who are on this journey with us.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
