After a decade of playing tabletop RPGs, countless adventures and many rule experiments, we are proud to present the new Flint&Steel roleplaying game.
We are gamers, geeks, RPG enthusiasts and we want to publish the game that has uplifted our gaming sessions to a whole new level.
With your aid, we want to create a fund which will help us develop two fully illustrated RPG books. The gathered coin will cover the costs of artists, editor, printing and shipping services.
Flint&Steel Rule Book will introduce character creation without classes and levels. Exciting combat design, new magic system, skill and crafting system, guides for players and dungeon masters, and all that you would need to experience our game fully. The book is approachable and written to serve RPG veterans and new players alike.
Flint&Steel Campaign Setting invites you to explore our world. There are many interesting, exciting and unique lands which can be a great backdrop for your future adventures. That's not all! The world we have created comes in two different eras that offer diverse themes, adventures and even styles of play.
brings a fun and balanced classless/level-less system where you can explore combat, skills and
magic in a new way. We present combat rules that make every fight thrilling, fast and deadly.
Flint&Steel introduces a crafting system, where players can invent alchemical, mechanical and other items, forge and improve weapons, make gadgets and also create magical items in a story related way, that could have dire consequences.
Most important of all, our Rule Book features a new magic system that won't break the game and it requires of spellcasters to be truly clever and inventive with their magic.
We have our own approach to skills as well, that offer a different pay-off for different characters.

Our main goal is to encourage creativity in every aspect of the play, whether you are a dungeon master or a player. This Rule Book is a perfect tool to flesh out your ideas.
Flint&Steel is at its core a d20 game and with our compatibility guide you can continue using popular d20 products and your favorite books.
We wish to bring tabletop gaming with a new audience. As a first step, we have prepared a PDF character sheet that really helps with the learning curve. Flint&Steel rules can be learned gradually and you can begin with as easy or complex game you please.
The book will contain a dungeon master's section, which will aid new and experienced DMs in creating combat scenes, item and monster creation, and how to create your own NPCs, towns and entire stories.
Flint&Steel Rule Book will spread roughly around 150 pages.

Flint&Steel Campaign Setting presents a new, harsh and unforgiving world. It is a low fantasy world, shaped by turbulent history, obsessive rulers and oppressive religion.
We've prepared two different eras that explore different styles of play, offer unique adventure opportunities and ultimately, give dungeon masters and players more room to create their own stories.
First era of our Campaign Setting is marked by the fall of mages, a consequence of a terrible war between magic and armed forces of Caldaron. There are many adventuring opportunities here; pillaging ruined mage towers and dungeons, gathering what is left of their secrets and hunting fugitive mages are just few of many stories waiting to be told. In this era, the world isn't wholly explored and players can easily venture into uncharted territories where only danger, excitement and intrigue can be found.
sets a unique theme and mood. Many lost their loved ones in the rampant war and it's a dark time for
everyone. Countries are poor, and honest folk are forced to a life of crime. Enemies of men aren't monsters but fellow men, and in time of despair, nothing
is in black or white. Countless brave warriors have lost their lives in battles, so
villages and numerous towns are weak and unprotected. Orcs, goblins and other
monstrous humanoids won't let this opportunity slide.
Prohibition of magic is strong in majority of countries and for the first time in world's history, there are no spells to solve problems. A plague could ravage a whole country if a magical cure isn't present and evil is ever stronger without the intervention of the divine light. Playing a spellcaster in this era would mean a life of prosecution, but also an opportunity to be remembered or even shape the course of history. Magic and monsters are rare in our world and when they do step out of the shadow, it's a moment to remember. We favor roleplay, moral choices and grounded stories. This is all reflected in Flint&Steel realms and the way history is shaped.

Four centuries after the war against magic, Rhuan alchemists managed to create a flammable powder from liquid fire, this has set a spark of future, where chemistry, alchemy and mechanical inventions will shape the world.
era in Flint&Steel Campaign Setting is that of science, progress, political intrigue
and sinister figures that spin the modern society. This era sets its own theme
and even a style of play, where next to conventional adventures, players may
pursue courtly dramas, urban mysteries or create their own inventions. Entire
campaigns can be played where players climb the social ladders, assist lords
and ladies and try to win in a game where scheming, backstabbing and betrayal
is expected. True adventurers will hunt for ancient relics or fight forgotten
monsters that only exist in folktales.
Modern society became a prey for cults that will use gold, influence and social structure to achieve their own evil agendas. This modern era is also a ladder for new wicked players. Fiends, demons broke their infernal chains and are infesting the world. They are the judges at courts, commanders in barracks, wenches in dark allies. Few to no one knows of their presence or motives, but one thing is certain, a stage for memorable adventures is set.
Flint&Steel Campaign Setting will contain 8 countries, all of them holding 5 different chapters. We
want to avoid that our book reads as a history book, so every country will have
unique chapters that best describe and illustrate their people, history, the
land, and also offer adventure backgrounds, ideas and hooks.
Monsters inspired by our local folk tales and Slavic mythology will have their own chapter, including a chapter featuring a demonic hierarchy in our world.
We want Flint&Steel to inspire both players and dungeon masters.

As said, the fund we create will be used on the book's design and art, editing, printing costs as well as shipment costs.
We have prepared many different rewards for different pledges.
Some of our pledges also include an illustrated map print, a dungeon master's screen, hard copy books, our adventures, an art book as well as a collaboration on villainous or friendly NPCs!
We have set 3 stretch goals on this Kickstarter venture!

Our first stretch goal is at 5000£. We will make two new PDFs. First will contain dozens of magic rituals, items and crafting schematics. The second one will have just as many of different NPCs that can star in your next adventure. Certainly, a great add for any DM or a player!
At 6000£ we get to hire amazing Andrew Ryan to illustrate the cover art for both Flint&Steel books! Here is a sample of his awesome work.
If we reach the 7000£ stretch goal we are throwing in a premium digital adventure The Mirror. The Mirror features 3 acts filled with intrigue, combat and smart challenges. Since we are fans of roleplay aspects of the game, The Mirror really focuses on the moral choices, roleplay opportunities and making a line between good and evil as thin as possible.
All stretch goals will be included in the prizes from FORTUNE SEEKER to CHAMPION.
While the need to raise a fund for production costs are obvious, there is a even greater benefit from Kickstarter, exposure. We are a small team located in eastern Europe and we are new in the gaming industry. We do not have the advantage of a known name, we are not industry veterans and we think that this is a perfect way to connect to the crowd and start creating our own gaming community. After our books are done and delivered, we will be launching our own website to support Flint&Steel products and create a new home for gamers!

Risks and challenges
Risks are few since a lot of the planned content is already prepared. We have spoken with designers and printers and they assure us that they can accomplish everything in time. Still, there is a possibility of delay since we can't predict possible production obstacles. We are confident we will deliver everything as promised and on time.
