We deserve something different! Of course, one can never have too many designer decks... I just thought it would be great if they could not only inspire our imagination but also make it a reality. In building this project, I’ve realized that the world is truly a big and wonderful place and that anybody would love a helping hand in organizing their best holiday yet.
Driven by this thought, I am excited to present to you the EXPLORE deck as my very first release of playing cards! Each location featured is specially handpicked based on research and its unique qualities, making a deck designed to show our love and dedication in creating quality playing cards for you.
EXPLORE is a limited print, and the deck will be printed by the USPCC. The cards are printed on Bicycle stock with Magic finish. The deck features a reveal Joker of my favourite card (see image below).
The final number of prints will be announced at the end of this campaign.
EXPLORE features 52 unique illustrations of cities and historic sites around the globe. Each location falls into one of the 4 categories.

Risks and challenges
High cost, high risk - The first time I approached designers with this project, a common response I got was "This project is too large for me to commit to, I'm sorry I'll have to pass". Design cost is the one giant expense incurred in this project. I can't deny that a project of this size and complexity has risks of going over budget and over schedule.
I have set up an accountability structure between me and the designer to ensure that each design item is completed within an agreed duration to keep costs within budget. I am glad to say that things are going according to plan and that there are no signs of getting over the budgeted design costs.
Ability to fulfill by the deadline - This is my very first Kickstarter project and I'm aware that fulfillment is one among the many giants of a funded project. To keep it short, I have listened to the suggestions of successful playing cards creators before me and have decided to use the services of a fulfillment house to get rewards shipped out to backers. I believe that by doing so, I have cut back the majority of the risks of not delivering the rewards on time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
