About this project
The Budget Press Review #5 is my expressive arts therapist's attempt to manage my manic schizophrenia and anxiety disorder. Budget Press is a one man operation, where I get to do whatever I want, but to truly purge the demons in my soul I need a little help from my friends, and they have not disappointed. Bisexual cuckolding. Speed-freaks stealing porn and olive oil. Parental guilt over a dead child. Laughing penguins and bleeding ears. Alice falling down the hole with booze and mushrooms. Loser musician boyfriends. Oral sex on LSD. Fun stuff!! And I can't wait to get all this out to you!!!!
The Budget Press Review #5 is a collection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and art. Budget Press has existed in various incarnations both online and in print since 1995, and has published over thirty chapbooks and zines with writers and artists from all over the US and Europe. In the past, all Budget Press publications were hand made with the help of a copy machine, but the Budget Press Review #5 will be made by a professional printer. The size will be 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, or half-page size. The front and back cover will be slick magazine-style full color, as will the the inside covers. There will also be four full color art pages.

How am I going to be paying for this? Right here on Kickstarter! Every cent of every order will be spent exclusively on printing and shipping costs. All other ancillary costs I will bear personally. The review will be available for purchase online as a pdf or other means of conveyance as well as by hard copy through the mail. All hard copies not purchased and sent through the mail will be distributed in the traditional Budget Press manner; they will be dropped off for free at various cafes, book stores, or any other boheme-type gathering place that I happen upon in my travels. Thus San Diego and Southern California will be covered well, as well as wherever I may go over the rest of the year.
ETA August 2012
