About this project
WHAT IS NATIONAL TREVOR: THE MOVIE?
National Trevor: The Movie is a concept based on a pun inspired by the term "national treasure" combined with the name of our good friend Trevor Hoskins. It was just a funny thing to say, until, through the power of shower brainstorming (where all of the best ideas come from), a plot unfolded.
Its expected run-time is approximately 48 minutes.
It was quickly realized that "National" Trevor Hoskins was a chef on the run, who's life was quickly becoming an action/adventure/psychological thriller/comedy of errors and this tale had to be told.
You can check out more from National Trevor: The Movie and some behind the scenes making of National Trevor: The Pilot on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nationaltrevorthemovie?fref=ts
Quick Breakdown: Chef Trevor is working the birthday party of an up and coming movie star. While there, he witnesses the murder of a prominent local Congressman. The killer (Stoney Hooker) and Trevor lock eyes. The chase begins.
Will Chef Trevor escape with his life? Will the hit man pay for his crimes? Who is behind this heinous murder? Will we ever get closure? Some of these questions are sure to be answered...for sure. Probably.
The cast and crew of National Trevor: The Movie plan to work diligently to bring you the best National Trevor experience possible.
HOW WILL YOUR MONEY BE USED?
For starters, our Kickstarter goal meets the bare minimum that it will cost to make this movie. That is why, writer/director/sound engineer/producer, Adam Daughhetee plans to match our goal with his own funds to help make this movie at least twice as good as the bare minimum.
A major thing we would love to accomplish in the making of this movie is to pay those involved. Our bare minimum goal does not include paying the cast and crew of National Trevor: The Movie, which hurts us deep down inside. Any money made over the proposed goal will go toward paying those involved and making National Trevor: The Movie even better. Plus, paying people makes them more available and that makes the movie get done faster. Crazy.
A lot of aspects of making a movie cost money, especially when Kickstarter and backer rewards are calculated into the mix. Here is a breakdown of where we plan for the money to go:
Equipment/Prop Acquisition: 30%
Location Rental: 10%
Craft Services: 20%
Kickstarter Awards: 20%
Kickstarter Fees: 10%
BONUS: Pay Cast and Crew
WE'D LOVE TO MEET SOME STRETCH GOALS
If we can reach $7500 then we can afford to pay everyone, not what they are actually worth, but a least a little something to show our gratitude. Also, if we meet this goal we will throw together a thank you video on the production blog from all of us to you.
Our original budget to make National Trevor: The Movie was $250,000, but our original realistic-ish budget was $15,000 and if we can make that, then we can make the movie we really want to make, with all of the bells and whistles. This will be a full-feature film, running approximately 80 minutes with even more action and it will be a thrilling roller coaster ride of heart racing mind explosions.
Remember earlier when we said the original goal was $250,000? Well, if for some ungodly reason we make that goal, then after we cry uncontrollably for months and months, we will focus all of our time and energy into making the most comedic, action packed, psychological thriller you have ever seen. And uh, everyone will get a National Trevor: The Movie commemorative coin.

Risks and challenges
The greatest risk on the timely completion of this film to your hands is scheduling. Because we are planning to be involved in this movie on a voluntary basis, scheduling everyone around priorities will take tact and planning. Being that much of the movie will take place outside, and in the autumn, it is in out best interest to complete the filming of this movie before the leaves all fall off of the trees. We plan to work with everyone involved to nail down an efficient schedule so that we can begin post production in early winter. Once post production begins, our post production team will spend all project time outside of paying gigs, making sure this movie is completed to you in a timely manner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
