UPDATE: The show is officially FUNDED!
For those of you who've already made a pledge, THANK YOU! For those of you who haven't, there is still time! The campaign ends on Monday, September 15 at 5:42 PM EDT. Every dollar still counts, believe it or not. Just watch this video to find out why!
Oh and by the way, thanks for stopping by! You're probably wondering what this is all about.
What Is Eat Our Feelings? Eat Our Feelings is a scripted comedic cooking show that's both entertaining and informative. Imagine that!
Each episode follows Sasha and Emma as they navigate everyday life and everyday meals. In every episode they'll come up against a problem, feel some feelings, and make food to help them get over it. And they'll teach you how to do the same!
Plus the recipes will be detailed online, so you can take 'em with you even when you can't watch a whole episode.
Check out our first two episodes - bon appetit!
Why should I care about you when I have the Barefoot Contessa?
We love Ina! We wish we were married to her. But what sets us apart from your standard cooking show is that we weave in a narrative. It’s kind of a 2-for-1 deal: you get to giggle, and then you get to learn a great new recipe. We think there is a demand for cooking shows that really embrace entertainment. Also, there's a place for young people in the kitchen! Learning to cook doesn’t need to be intimidating, or stiff, or even perfect.
Cooking can be fun - and we're here to prove it.
I like you guys, you’re weird. Tell me more about yourselves.
We are just a couple of super-chill cool buddies, living in Brooklyn and trying to make things for you!
We love avocados, watching TV, hugging cats, and having people over for dinner.
How do you guys make these videos?
We have an unbeatable crew including Executive Producer Extraordinaire Doug Anderson, Director of Photography Genius David Turner and Extra-Super-Very talented Director Adam Goldman.
Isn’t $12,000 a lot of money for vegetables?
It sure is! But it’s not that much for professional equipment: cameras, sound gear, and lights, for a start - and the crew to make the most of 'em. $12,000 will allow us to rent the equipment to make sure the food looks its best, feed and pay our dedicated crew, secure shooting locations, and... well yeah, buy produce.
What happens if you make more than $12,000? Have you guys ever heard of Stretch Goals?
There's that healthy optimism you're known for, internet! If if we're lucky enough to exceed our goal by $3,000, we'll make an extra-special-surprise bonus episode! You LOVE extra special surprises!
Risks and challenges
Both of us have studied the production process from inside and out - in the classroom and in the real world.
As you can see from our first two episodes, we've got everything in place to create a fun, educational show for you. All that's missing is the funds - and that's where you come in!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
