Ein Prototyp ist sozusagen ein vorläufiges Modell dessen, was bei einem Projekt entstehen soll, wenn es sich dabei um ein Produkt handelt. In diesem Fall müssen den Unterstützern Unterlagen zu einem funktionierenden Prototypen präsentiert werden. In dieser Galerie kann der Projektgründer Fotos oder Videos hochladen, damit sich die Unterstützer eine Vorstellung davon machen können, in welchem Stadium sich das Projekt befindet; was bereits erreicht wurde und was noch aussteht. Der Entwicklungsprozess ist zwar bei jedem Projekt unterschiedlich, aber für gewöhnlich gibt es dabei die folgenden Phasen:

Sieht aus wie das Endprodukt und hat dieselben funktionalen Eigenschaften, wurde aber aus anderen Materialien oder in einer anderen Art und Weise hergestellt.
Technischer Prototyp
Gleicht dem Endprodukt in Aussehen, Funktion und Herstellungsweise.

Pitch Cards
the Game:
The game
part of our product is designed to be played from 2 to 100 people. You’ll have
to create teams and nominate a facilitator (over 40 persons, 2 facilitators are
needed).
The main
goal is to work on your public speaking skills without pitching your real project or career. This will force you to try new things and go out of your
comfort zone.
The biggest
side effect is that it’s tremendously fun. Imagine yourself pitching a mobile
app for unicorns that will help them tend their cactuses. Or a B2C product that
will make Alfred Hitchcock fans able to tame their kraken while watching their
favorite movies…

Work long
enough in any field and you’ll see that some questions keep coming back. It is
the same for pitch training. We designed our method kit to offer the most
useful questions possible.
We divided
these questions into 4 categories:

You can use
this game on several occasions:
Pitch training: use the method deck to improve
your pitch
Creativity workshops: use the game deck to
ignite creative sparks into your attendees’ mind
Ice breaking games: Use the game deck to create a fun first
shared experience
Evening with friends: Use the game deck (and be
careful not to spill your drink on it) and help your friends get better at
pitching with the help of the method deck.
On the other side, the questions are
meant to be used on several format of speech: elevator pitch, investor pitch,
Talks, conferences…
You can use them by picking questions in a random fashion while preparing or rehearshing your performance. That will help you focus on the most essential parts of your pitch.
Our history:
2 years
ago, Will had an mvp designed for pitch training while organizing a startup
weekend. It was ugly, but it was a hit. When we say ugly... check the evolution of the "pizza" card.
The Startup Weekend team had dozens of
attendees having fun at the same time, the game was easy to use, easy to adapt
to new audiences or needs. After a while, the game travelled a bit: to other
organizing teams, to professional facilitators, creativity consultants and
teachers. Every time, the game worked. Every time people were having fun
pitching and were learning new things on themselves, on pitching ideas and on
adapting a speech on the fly.
In a French accelerator called Startup Palace
During Startup Weekend Starsbourg
While
testing the game, Will worked on himself to be able to go further and to coach
speakers. He read, practiced, tested, spoke in public at every occasion
possible. For 2 years Will became a pitching machine and a mentor for several events. Up to the
point of making coaching speakers his line of work.
With
Camille’s help, he managed to use all the knowledge acquired to create a method
around the game that will structure the game experience. Every experience can
be used on other fields. Remember the idea that a smart person used her
experience to gain knowledge while a wise one uses other’s experience? We’ve
gone a step further: the wisest use fun experiences to learn.

that, you’re playing a nice game with colleagues and friends and you get to get
better at pitching ideas, speaking in public… #doublewin
Imagine how things could turn differently for you if you have the ability to speak eloquently in public? On the opposite, do you imagine Steve Jobs without his public speaking skills? What about Martin Luther King Jr? Without their public speaking skills, where would be their vision, their ideas?
That is why we want you to be a better speaker, we believe in your ideas.
We
carefully clarified each card with a unique illustration created solely for the
needs of the game.
We chose
patiently and tested each question to be sure that they were spot on.
We crafted
a serious game that will have its place on your desk, in your backpack and on
your coffee table with friends.
We managed
to create something useful, fun and beautiful.
We’ve done
that for you, for your ideas and in some dimensions, for the world. We are sure
that you have a wonderful idea somewhere in your mind. This game will help you
get it out, this game will help you change your world, hell, maybe even change
the whole world.
We won’t say
that we want to make the world a better place, it's too much of a cliché. We’ll
say that we want you to make the world a better place and we want to help you.

How will we
use the money from the campaign?
First of
all, even if the design is quite advanced, we’d like to improve it a bit
further. That will cost time and money to have a new prototype designed.
Of course,
we’ll use it on creating and shipping the rewards to our backers. It’s the
biggest sum so far.
As we are optimistic people, we have prepared a pitcture to sum up our strech goals, as you see the first one is quite essential!
Finally,
we’ll use that to create an online pitching academy for you guys. Of course,
depending on the sum raised, we’ll have to prioritize with the stretch goals, the drinking game being a top priority, we’ll have to test it beforehand! ^^
Risiken und Herausforderungen
What are your challenges?
First challenge: meeting our goals, in terms of finances, but also in terms of quality of design, of printing and of training.
Second Challenge: ship our product the quickest way possible without losing quality in the process. Ideally you will receive the delivery before summer.
We’ll also need to create a great training to help people facilitate this game. Even if it’s really easy to use, we’d like to offer our backer the best experience possible.
Finally, we’ll have to be sure that Camille’s creativity and Will’s tendency for modelization don’t collide in a new product along the way.
