SUAVE AND THE BONER is a gender-bent, steampunk cabaret duo that drags the double entendre to new depths. We've taken our show to NYC, and now we're ready to park it in the studio for our first album.
**** Every dollar over our funding goal will go into the creation of the album. We can enhance our studio production time with your help!****
We wrote original tunes for the show—racy songs in a fun vaudeville style, from “Look At The Size Of That Pickle” to “It’s Getting Very Crowded In My Box (At The Opera)”. We've got new arrangements of music hall and vaudeville classics like “Nobody Loves a Fairy When She’s Forty” and “The Pheasant Plucker’s Son”, many with saucy new lyric touches. It's a bold new invention—a little bit steampunk, a little burlesque, more than a little bent, and a whole lot of funny. We may be on the ground now, but you can help us get off.

The fabulous Liz Rubino stars as Lizzy Suave. Liz is a New York-based stage performer and recording artist who has performed at both the Duplex and Metropolitan Room. I keep her company as Jack Boner, and what I lack in meek I make up for in pluck. We're both ready to sing our pants off for you.
We want to record the whole show for you, even the comedy sketches and naughty sponsor commercials. We're reaching out to theaters and clubs to put together performances around the country (got an idea for a show location? Message us!) We'd love to take this album with us everywhere we go. We want to be performing this show for years to come.
Every dollar goes to getting us into the studio and producing this album. We plan to be super efficient with your pledge, since the whole show is rehearsed and performance-ready. Help us get there, and check out all of the inappropriate ways we have to thank you. Spank you very much!

Risks and challenges
We've worked super-hard to make this a smooth process. We're working with a terrific partner in the studio who we've worked with before. (Check out the teaser videos he helped us make!) We've got the show polished and audience-ready, fresh from two NYC performances at the Duplex Cabaret Theater; that does a lot to cut down on expensive studio time. AND we're working with our pianist/co-composer/arranger right in the studio and doing mixing and post-production all together on consecutive days. This team is the best, and I hope you'll give us the chance to bring this album to you. Thanks for pitching in, every little bit helps. And please share this project with your circle of friends. I'm sure you can think of someone who would like us right up their alley.
