About this project
Mixhap & Found, The idea is simple; produce a web series spotlighting real local Seattle musicians. Where we discover, what it takes to be an Emerald City musician producing fresh new music, a little bit about each artist and hear their original music. These webisodes have all the necessary ingredients to go viral!
The “Mixhap & Found” Webisodes will be 15-20 minutes long including 2 artists per show. They will perform one song each (this may be a music video, live concert or live studio time), and then sit down for a Q&A with DJ Mixhap (a local Seattle DJ). We plan to start by filming 6-8 episodes for our first season.
Music is global. It’s a way to express beyond words with true passion. It inspires and motivates. It creates shakers and movers. It makes us move yet brings us together. It separates us from the rest of the universe. It shows love, care, passion and true meaning to life, all you have to do is find the music in your life and ..... LISTEN
If you’re anything like us you want to be ahead of the music. You want to know what artists are up and coming, and who has a fresh new sound.
Our passion for music has brought us to capture exactly that. The idea is simple, produce a web series based on real local Seattle musicians, where we discover what it takes to be an Emerald City musician producing fresh new music, and a little bit about each artist; with a chance to hear their original music.
Simple enough right?
Yes, but we have hit a …how would you say it…. “Skip in the vinyl”?
The bottom line is we need better quality equipment.
Because we are filming live shows we need specialty microphones, as well as, lighting, screens, booms, ungraded computer processor, and a few other expenses. Our main focus on the show is to provide our viewers with top notch sound quality, so they can experience the featured artist’s original music the way it was intended to be heard.
We know this concept will excel due to the interactive nature of the show. Fans will be able to post questions on our Facebook for up coming guests/artists on the show. As we film each musician, they will take personal pride in what they are a part of by sending their fans to view the show. As each artist is promoting their episode, they will be simultaneously promoting fellow musicians; thus creating a strong sense of local Seattle pride in our music community.
In addition to encouraging others to share their favorite episodes with their friends on Facebook and YouTube, we will also be promoting every episode heavily on all social media platforms, as well as working with our street team (already established) promoting directly to the local music fans. We will be consistently reading feedback from our viewers, as well as taking requests for future artists.
We have already invested thousands of dollars out of our own pockets because we full heartily believe in this concept. We come to you today asking from one music lover to another for help in funding this project and converting dreams in to music.
In the future, we plan to expand this concept to other cities as well, eventually releasing as many as 3-4 episodes per month. Our experienced film crew is already in place and ready to rock n’ roll with this exciting project.
We have searched and found many extremely talented artists in the Seattle area who are ready to shine. All they need is you! Together we can change the world. One beat at a time. Thank you for your support.
With much LOVE from the entire Mixhap Crew!
We’ll catch you in-the-mix.
