We are blown away by the love and support you have shown to “Eva Hesse". And because of that we will soon pass our primary goal. THANK YOU!!
So now it's time for a STRETCH GOAL. For those who are new to the world of Kickstarter, a stretch goal can snap into place once your primary goal is reached; it means raising some of the additional dollars that will go towards the next phase of our project.
Our stretch goal is $63,000 (an additional 9K) with the hope that you, our wonderful community, will continue to pledge as our hours come to a close on this campaign.
Why Stretch? The Next Phase
After the film is released nationwide, we will be faced with organizing and preserving all the archival material that we unearthed and lots of the new material we created in the course of making the film. We have dozens of hours of AMAZING FOOTAGE (like Nancy Holt's last major interview, Nick Serota on Hesse and his early curatorial career, Dan Graham on NY in the late 60's), hundreds of PHOTOS, scads of INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS and goodness knows what else in the boxes that line our office.
In pledging funds for our Stretch Goal you will help preserve the large collection important material that may not have made it into the film, but will someday end up in a public collection to be used by scholars and anyone interested in Hesse's work, her life and the group of artists that populated lower Manhattan in the Sixties.
NOTE : THE PROJECT WILL BE FUNDED WHEN WE HIT AT LEAST $54,000. Adding a stretch goal does not change that important 'all or nothing' element of Kickstarter which is calculated based on our original goal.
And remember, we still have amazing rewards for our backers!
Lots more on our main page...
Thanks again for your participation. It means the world to us.
