Thanks to you, this campaign to publish Universal Heartbeat is 87% funded. As this dream gets closer and closer to reality, I've been working on putting the pieces together. I've made connections with people to work on cover design, layout of the inside pages, and web site design. I've found a printer who will give me good quality books for a reasonable price. I am learning the ins and outs of copyright, ISBNs, and more. And I am thinking about how to market the book once it's published.
I just read an interesting article saying that self-publishing is the wave of the future, and that a self-published book can indeed open the door to publishers. But even the big publishing companies now rely on authors to market and sell their books. Most of you know me and know that selling is not my strong suit. All help, ideas, and suggestions on this topic are welcome! Please feel free to contact me directly with any and all input, questions, comments, and so on.
There are 3 weeks to go to raise the last few hundred dollars. If each of you inspires just one person to pre-order the book with a $25 pledge, we'll go over the goal, which will ensure the publication of the book and jump-start a successful marketing campaign. Can you help with that? Thanks.
My deepest gratitude goes to each and every one of you for your support. I look forward to drumming with you sometime!
