When it comes to the world of watches you have so many choices today. From the micro brand to the established big brands. Smith&Bradley has been at the watch game for four years now. We are a full time watch company and full time in house service center.
We have continued to get better and better each year. This time we have knocked it out of the park as we introduce to you the SANS-13 Evolution. We have changed the playing field with this watch. There is no other watch in this marketplace at this price point that can compete with the quality and features hands down.
In the press:
STRETCH GOAL #1 ANNOUNCED: We have case matched NATO straps now that will be unlocked at 50K. Look at the pics below to see the set up with Stainless brushed and PVD brushed straps.
Jerommie Smith, our lead designer and engineer, has been working on this project for 8 months now. The attention to detail is over the top. Let's take a look at the break down of the case construction.
The case uses an Anti-reflective coated Sapphire crystal. We have a 120 click bezel. Low profile 316 L. case design. Screw Bars for attachment of the strap. A double O-ring screw down case tube with 7.5mm crown. The 316L screw down case back uses an O-ring seal as well.
So let's explain the new bezel. Typical bezel designs can and do move once you set them for a timing purpose. The reason is the bezel hangs over the edge of the case and it is susceptible to a bump against the side to move it. The new SANS-13 Evolution bezel requires you to engage the bezel. You cannot bump it as easily as typical bezels do. Notice the edge of the bezel is on the interior of the case. The 120 click bezel is so perfected Swiss manufacturers have asked Jerommie to do their bezels. The Action of the bezel is clean, precise, and no backwards movement. It is the best in the industry!
The crown tube is a new design as well. We now use a 2 O-ring interior tube seal. One near the outside edge and one in the middle. The crown itself has a rubber seat for the final seal. We have 3 different O-ring seals just in the crown, this watch will not leak, period!
Here is our NEW proprietary Stainless Steel bracelet. This is very unique as every link is removable. You can add more if you need or take out as many as you want to fit. We listened to every customer who wanted a bracelet, but could never get one to fit them. The dimensions of the bracelet links allow it to contour perfectly to the wrist. The watch will come with 2 screw drivers so you can adjust it as you see fit.
The next feature of the watch is even better. We have taken our lume tube technology and made it into our Patent Pending Polymer Plates. The entire back plate of our Proprietary sandwich dial is a plate of illumination polymer. We have also made the same plate integrated into the hands of the watch. The second hand has been dipped in to match the illumination. What does this mean? We now can compete directly with tritium. We have a glow that lasts for over 6hrs that has the light output that of tritium. (See below picture of 6hr test) The other advantage we have as well is the user can define if they want it brighter. Our Polymer Plates can be charged with high intense light, i.e. flashlight and it will glow very bright. You choose your brightness; you now have a choice. Natural exposure to ambient light and our Patent Pending Polymer plates compete directly with tritium. Tritium is just one level of brightness. Tritium cannot be charged to make brighter.
Water Resistance: The SANS-13 Evolution is a full 200-meter water resistant watch. This has been tested very thoroughly and without question will stand whatever you can dish out!
We need your support to make this project and go global. This is an expensive watch to produce and we need your support. Our company was founded here on Kickstarter and felt bringing our best watch to this marketplace was only fitting; where it all began!
Risks and challenges
At Smith & Bradley we design and build watches. We have been at it for 4 years and have completed four watch campaigns. Delays and set backs are a reality in this business, but we have become adept at anticipating and planning for interruptions in the supply chain. We have visited the component manufacturers and are ready to roll, all we need is the support of our loyal backers.
Further, since we build watches in house and service in house, we can control far more of the process than the typical watch company. Additionally, for this model, we have done all of the necessary back-office work to make this project go off without a hitch. It is truly and amazing engineered watch that we have built. We have staff ready and trained to help us for shipping and fulfillment.
Our number one priority is delivering the best possible product we can for the money, and we are optimistic about doing so. We do not expect any delays of hiccups.
