Tot on the Pot is an all-inclusive, play-based potty training system that provides parents and kids with everything they need to dump the diaper in a fun, engaging and healthy way.
We're here to help parents tackle one of the most challenging developmental milestones their toddler will face: Potty Training. Research has shown that the anxiety parents have towards potty training can delay and complicate the training process, and even negatively impact a child’s development. Research has also shown that play-based learning is one of the most effective teaching tools in early childhood.
By providing a complete, all-inclusive solution, we take the load off parents. We provide everything they need to become informed, empowered potty trainers. We also engage the tremendous power of play to speak to toddlers in the language they best understand. This encourages a successful potty training process and it gives parents and kids an opportunity to have *FUN* while learning valuable lessons.
Parents who begin to prepare for potty training are often overwhelmed with the amount of reading, guesswork and half-baked solutions that await them.
Tot on the Pot is entirely unique in that it handles all three components of Potty Training:
Parents and their toddlers are given every piece of the potty training puzzle. When combined, these pieces form a complete solution that eliminates doubts and delivers results.
Pediatricians have long been a trusted voice when potty training panic sets in. They have answered every potty training question, heard about every new approach and consoled every frustrated parent...so their input was essential for us!
We are proud to have received endorsements from multiple pediatricians and other early childhood specialists. We trust our pediatricians to take care of our children...and our pediatricians trust Tot on the Pot to potty train them in a healthy way.
During potty training age, your toddler's attention spans range from 3-8 minutes...and that's when they're actually interested in what they're doing! Encouraging a child to drop their toys to sit on a potty for what may seem like hours is every parent's biggest challenge and worst nightmare.
Tot on the Pot was designed specifically to overcome this obstacle by engaging children in play-based potty training. Potty training doesn't have to be a chore. It can actually be FUN!
Children in their toddler and pre-school years benefit from an almost limitless capacity to learn and acquire new skills. Exposing children in this age group to mental and cognitive stimulation benefits them in a big way and has the potential to accelerate their learning capabilities as they grow.
That is why we made sure that every one of our activities includes valuable cognitive benefits that expand your child's mind and thought processes.
Potty Training is a process that every child goes through. Kids with developmental delays sometimes require a little extra patience and understanding as they navigate the challenging path to potty independence.
For these children and their parents, we included 'Some Extra Love' tips throughout our Parent's Guide. These segments modify the potty training process to support the unique needs of children who are developmentally delayed. They further highlight elements of the Tot on the Pot system that are especially conducive to helping kids who need an extra hand.
Everybody Poops...so Tot on the Pot was made for everybody.

Squatty Potty, known for their development of the Squatty Potty® toilet stool, is launching a stool for children ages two to eight - the SquattyPottymus®. Designed to:
- Help toddlers feel secure and successful as they toilet train, and
- Place children in the all-important squat position.
The SquattyPottymus stool encourages a natural squat, opening the colon for an easier and more complete elimination. A cap is included to extend the height of the stool to accommodate different height toilets or smaller children. The accompanying ergonomic seat helps to take away the fear of the toilet hole as it cradles the child in a comfortable and safe experience.
Tot on the Pot is proud to work together with Squatty Potty to make the SquattyPottymus available in one of its reward tiers.
Tot on the Pot + SquattyPottymus = A match made in pooping heaven!
Hello there! We’re Jackie and Elliot, two parents whose love for kids and family, combined with a passion to create fun and meaningful activities, drives us forward every single day.
Even though we’re at different stages of parenthood (Elliot’s daughter just started walking and Jackie’s daughter just walked down the aisle), we know that raising kids can be as challenging as it is fulfilling. We joined together to provide moms and dads with solutions to make the harder parts of parenting easier…with a healthy dose of *fun* too!
We’re so excited to share our first endeavor with you: Tot on the Pot. We started with potty training because we were OVERWHELMED with feedback from parents about how much they dread it. So in an effort to help moms and dads enjoy every minute with their kids (even the crappy ones), we spent years crafting the perfect play based solution that would actually make kids want to embrace the potty. We went one step further and added in a Parent’s Guide and a Children’s Book to save parents money, time and mistakes by doing things the right way the first time. Then we went even one step further and crafted reward activities that would enhance and advance your child’s development.
And now, we’re happy to share years of potty training expertise and creativity with you. We want nothing more than for you to enjoy Tot on the Pot with your kids while teaching them valuable lessons along the way.
We realized we had a real opportunity to positively impact parenting...and so we did.
Risks and challenges
We currently have the finalized version of Tot on the Pot complete and ready for mass production, and our prototypes have been safety tested both in design and materials to ensure that we are delivering a product we would use in our own homes.
Still, given the inherent nature of manufacturing physical goods, unforeseen issues can arise. While we can't control every issue that may pop up, we can and will promise to communicate transparently and frequently with all our backers. In addition to keeping our backers up to date, we will make sure any changes during production uphold our mission and meet your interests.
We are confident that we will provide parents with a product they will be able to rely on, and we have networks and resources in production, shipping, distribution and certification to make this happen. We are ready for any challenges that we may encounter on the way, and we promise our complete devotion to bringing Tot on the Pot into production and to our backers on time.
We promise complete transparency and we will communicate on a regular basis.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
