About this project
Don't ask me how I thought of this...
I would like to develop custom toilet paper with the SOPA and PIPA bills printed on them. SOPA/PIPA on TP is a gag outrage item that offers users a chance to express themselves regarding these two proposed bills in untold new ways. Let SOPA PIPA finally have some practical use for once. Share it with your friends. Share it with your family. Or share it with your local representative!
If you wanted a way to demonstrate your feelings regarding the SOPA/PIPA issue now is your chance!
Yea, yea I know there are shops that can do tissue paper printing for you, however this idea is slightly more complex. Just slightly.
People who contribute can share their comments on the roll itself!
On these TP rolls, I'll allow for a section of text to include messages from other contributors so that you can have fun while unraveling it!
They will be pasted at the end of the SOPA or PIPA bill text. This is so that you can read what others have posted regarding SOPA, PIPA, their opinion of our legislation, the rain in Seattle, their mother-in-law's constant complaining in the car... you get the picture. It's a paper based discussion board that feels great between your fingers!
I understand the controversy brewing in the online community over these two proposed bills so I expect the product will be used partly as a compliment to performance art, demonstrations and gatherings and partly as a way for owners to communicate group affiliation (owning a pair like a secret handshake).
--- UPDATE I'm compiling the news stories about this project at the bottom. So you don't have to feel alone... and remember I can't do this without your support, so tell your friends and TP the world!
I will use the money to purchase the allotted orders as well as to assist with marketing (website, twitter, word of mouth etc.) I'll also need a warehouse to store them in. In the end though I'm relying on you, the kickstarter community, to give this product idea momentum alongside your SOPA/PIPA rallying cry. Thanks.
Ok well what do you know? Someone's written a story on this Kickstarter project! Many thanks to Andrew Couts at DigitalTrends.com

Alright another update! Special thanks to Grant Gross Washington correspondent, IDG News Service for writing up this article! The word is getting out!
Believe it or not but I rely on your help to get notified of articles. So if you see it mentioned in an article give me a buzz!
Someone tells me Tom's Hardware did a piece on this?!? I happen to love their forum.
An article from Tech Dirt!!! We still have some time left!
