Dear Memory Club,
Thank you so much to all who joined us last month at Chez Panisse. We loved getting to meet so many of you, and to enjoy such unforgettable versions of recipes from the book. For those who couldn’t make it, Eric took some wonderful photos of the gathering that you can see here.
We have two more events coming up that we’d love to share with you:
This coming Sunday evening, June 4, at Healdsburg SHED, chef Perry Hoffman will prepare a Paula-inspired dinner with Paula, Eric, Emily, and other members of Team Unforgettable in attendance. We’re starting at 5:30 to get everyone home at a reasonable hour. Dinner is $115 a person, and includes a signed copy of the book. Click here to reserve your spot!
Next Monday, June 5, at her bakery Sofra in Cambridge, MA, chef Ana Sortun will teach recipes inspired by the book, including Mussels Saganaki, Sprinkle Pie, and Bulgur Blended with Greens (aka “Best-ever Bugulama”). Paula will make a live appearance via FaceTime. The class runs from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm; doors open at 6:15. Tickets are $140 and include a signed copy of the book; a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit one of Paula’s favorite advocacy organizations, Dementia Alliance International. Last, while we have you, we wanted to share this wonderful documentary about Eric, which goes a long way towards explaining why his images in the book are so Unforgettable. The book itself makes a moving appearance in the film’s close.
