We made the NYT!
Dear Memory Club,
We’re gobsmacked. Just as the books started landing, Kim Severson’s powerful story appeared on the front page of the New York Times Food section. We received an outpouring of affection and were able to make the book available to the public just in time. This morning we sold them at a pace of 2 per minute. An unforgettable day indeed.
A few more updates to share:
- For those of you who ordered signed copies, rest assured signed bookplates are coming right behind under separate cover. Our art director Toni Tajima custom-designed them to elegantly match the book.
- Signed copies will also be available at Omnivore Books in SF, Kitchen Arts & Letters in NYC, Book Larder in Seattle, Readers' Books in Sonoma, and more; we’ll be updating unforgettablepaula.com to list them all.
- The book is also available on Amazon; If you could do us a favor and leave a review after you’ve read it, we would be extremely grateful.
- Last, to our beloved international supporters, thank you for your generosity—and your patience. Your books have left the warehouses, and will take a few extra weeks to arrive, but they are on their way!
Now, let’s celebrate! If you should find yourselves in the Bay area in April and May, we would love to meet you:
Tuesday, April 25
Emily, Eric, Andrea, and Toni will sign copies and talk about the book.
Tuesday, May 11
Chez Panisse, Berkeley
A dinner to celebrate the book, with Paula in attendance. We will send an update to backers before this dinner becomes available to the general public.
Sunday, June 4
Sunday supper with Paula in attendance.
We hope to meet you at some or all!
