A Deck of GOOD DEED CHALLENGES for kids (and adults too). The cards will teach them to be kind to others, animals, the earth and themselves. Kindness is contagious, and each time they complete a good deed challenge, they will inspire others to pay it forward, which will make the world a better place!
We see it all too often these days; on the internet, TV, in the newspapers and even on the streets. There is A LOT of negativity in the world. Kids being bullied (some, even to the point of suicide), racism, hate based on sexual orientation, violence, depression, vandalism, ignoring social issues in our cities and sadly, the list goes on and on.
We're fed up with it all! It's time for change! And that's why we decided to create this deck of good deeds. We want kids to learn how to be kind to others while they're young, and carry those lessons with them for life! Will this deck solve every problem there is? No, but it's a damn good start! We can make a difference. We need to act together, and grow together as a community, or this is all just a waste of time.
"My Deck of Good Deeds" contains 56 cards (53 Good Deed challenge cards and 3 Award cards). The good deed challenge cards range in difficulty, from easy to more challenging (requiring more time to complete, creativity and/or help from a friend or parent).
Receive award cards for your progress. 3 to earn in the deck.
Not final box, or card back design.
Deedtags has been in the making for about 5 years now. We're very happy with the progress we've made so far, but we know we can grow even faster and make an even bigger impact if we create fresh ideas that engage people of all ages. The smartphone app and book of 100 good deeds are fun and accessible for teens and adults. For kids, we feel the deck of good deeds would be a fun way for them to learn about kindness.
We're using Kickstarter as our platform, because it allows us to introduce Deedtags to a global audience. Issues like bullying, racism, hate based on sexual orientation and much more, are global in nature. We're all affected by them. By supporting our cause, you're showing that as a community, we care about kindness and won't just accept the horrible things we see happening every day.
We've used all the funds we have to pay for the smartphone app, merchandise, promotional material and book of 100 deeds. We're printing these good deed decks through USPCC (The United States Playing Card Company) and their minimum order is 2500 decks. That will drive the cost per unit down, yes, but it's still going to cost quite a few bucks to order even just the minimum! And that's why we need your help!!!
Thank you (Your name here) ________________ in advance!!! :D

Risks and challenges
We've completed all the artwork and files for the deck of cards already, so if this campaign is successful (and we hope it will be), all we need to do is send the files off to USPCC to print. We will make sure to follow up with them on a regular basis (but not to the point of harassment), to make sure we are on schedule. If there are any problems at all, we will be sure to keep all of you in the loop, because as a backer of this project, you deserve to know everything! Not just the good stuff, but the other things too! Of course, we are hoping for no bad things!
We made sure to add a bit of wiggle room to all of the reward package delivery dates. Anything can happen, and we wanted to make sure that was taken into consideration.
If this campaign turns out to be a huge success, bigger than we anticipated, we have friends and family on standby, who are ready to volunteer their time to make sure we meet the delivery dates! You saw some of these “volunteers” in the video! ;) lol
In terms of the other items in the reward packages (the books, wristbands, button pins etc.), we have most of these items in stock, ready for delivery.
As for the commissioned artwork, I never rush my art as it may compromise the quality. So I have made the delivery dates on the artwork rewards a bit later in the year. Just a reminder, for anyone who selects a reward level that includes artwork, the delivery date listed on the Kickstarter page is just for the custom artwork alone. All of the merchandise in that pledge level will be delivered in May 2015.
We are extremely excited to see what happens with this, and to see what all of you and your children do to make this world a better place! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me! :DLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
