Hello there! We're The West. We're a dance-rock band out of Seattle, WA. We've just finished recording our debut album In Low Light, it's currently being mastered, and we'll be pressing and packaging it for a spring (or earlier) release.
To accompany the release, we're shooting a music video for our song "It was Disco and it's Over."
The West will be funding the majority of this project out-of-pocket, but we're asking for $1000 to cover the cost of food, heaters, and transportation for the production. Nobody wants to see hungry actors and dancers standing out in the cold!
You can help us reach our goal by making a donation and, in return, we'll give you some great rewards. (These are listed to your right!)
We're teaming up with two very talented individuals to make this video: Jordan Albertsen and Gabrielle Schutz.
Jordan Albertsen is a Los Angeles/Seattle-based film director and he owns his own production company Oracle Films LLC. Here's a music video directed by Jordan for Indians "Sink Into You."
Gabrielle Schutz is a Seattle-based dancer and choreographer. She's worked locally with the Satori Group, Pony World, Absurd Reality Theatre, and Blood Ensemble. Here's a taste of her work from 2011...

Risks and challenges
A unique challenge that we may face during filming is getting enough people to work/volunteer as extras, actors, and dancers for the planned two-day shoot. We want this ensemble to feel taken care of and supported. With your help, we are going to offer food, warmth, cover travel expenses, and if we're lucky, a small stipend to sweeten the entire pot.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
