Game DescriptionBebop and Tempo is a challenging retro arcade platforming game with a focus on skill and competition. Inspired by the many great games on NES, Bebop and Tempo has the music, art, and difficulty to match.
Play through a variety of levels and environments by switching between Bebop and Tempo. Each character has their own unique play style. Bebop has the ability to dash and dodge. While in comparison, Tempo runs faster, jumps higher, and can stomp. Switch between each character on the go with a push of a button to complete each level as you see fit. Here is a list of some of what Bebop and Tempo has to offer.
- Steam Achievements
- Steam Trading Cards
- Over 50 levels of arcade platforming
- Explore and unlock four unique areas
- A complete original 8-bit soundtrack, composed by Jed Crouch
- 2 player Local VS Mode with unique battle levels
- Endless Arcade Mode
- USB gamepad support, including the Xbox One controller
A few days after Bebop and Tempo is released, I will be hosting a tournament on Twitch to see who can 100% complete Bebop and Tempo the fastest, and with the fewest deaths. If this project reaches the $2k stretch goal, then there will be a prize pool of a starting amount of $150 to the winner, and $150 to charity. The prize pool will increase according to the stretch goals. All you need to participate is any copy of Bebop and Tempo and a Twitch account. More details will be shared closer to release.
Receive a digital copy of Bebop and Tempo for Mac or Windows and have your name listed as a supporter on the games website.
The special digital edition of Bebop and Tempo will come with a digital copy of the game for Windows or Mac, the Bebop and Tempo Original Soundtrack, digital stickers, the Bebop and Tempo Wallpaper Collection, digital instruction booklet, your name included as a supporter in the Instruction Booklet, and name listed on the game's website.
As the campaign progresses, I will be adding music samples from the game's original soundtrack by composer Jed Crouch. For starters, here is the title screen music!
Risks and challenges
I would love to be able to produce additional physical editions than what I have now. However, an increase in production requires more money to secure supplies from manufacturers. Additionally, I would love to release Bebop and Tempo on additional platforms. I have been working on an Xbox One version and I will discuss further plans on developing the Xbox One version if this campaign garners enough interest.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
