“In So Many Words” is a surreal look at life, love, and societal standards. It embodies the struggle between social enforcement and individuality, depicting the changes one endures in the journey to find self-acceptance within the pressure to conform.
The film relies heavily on visual metaphor, creating certain opposing dichotomies between characters and viewpoints. The film relates these themes through the eyes of a man and woman caught up in this monochromatic world, as they strive for independence, love, and acceptance. Their attempts are challenged by a mechanized society and a pressure to conform, as both characters run dangerously close to losing their individuality.
This short film will be shot in Sacramento and Stockton California on July 28th and 29th. The funding for this will be to pay for insurance and permits to shoot on the streets, logistical items for cast and crew, props, promotion and festival entries. Your help is greatly needed! Anything raised past the $1500 mark will go straight into additional marketing and promotion of this film.
