Do your part to help out starving artists and help me write my second novel!
I have just finished writing my first novel, and I am now going through the slow process of trying to find an agent for it. I am getting good signs so far, but I think it will take months for me to actually get representation. I want to continue writing in the meantime.
The only problem is money.
I live on maybe $500 a month. If I get $1,000 I have two solid months of uninterrupted writing. Which means that I will get my novel finished in no time.
The novel itself is about an amnesiac ninja trying to save the world from a demon invasion, but I don't want to spoil any more of the plot, so I can't tell you any more.
I have worked for the Utne Reader and the American Prospect. When I was 16 my very first novel was selected for the Varuna/Harper Collins award for manuscript development, which was a pretty big deal. The next oldest winner of the award was in their mid-thirties. I took time off writing so I could go to college, but now I want to write fiction full-time. You, with a nominal donation, could help me.
