Hi. Sorry for the lack of promised updates this month but my head was in another place—24/7 production mode. But we finished shooting Ned Rifle at about three in the morning today, April 26th. All's well. No one got hurt, at least not too badly. There were no car accidents, no vehicles towed away, no insurance claims… Were hearts broken? Probably. Who knows what goes on. I was too busy to notice. But I think we made some good work. It'll take me a few weeks to be reminded of it all in the editing room. I've been so focused on the immediate problems to be solved that yesterday's work, even work earlier in the day, are distant events I have no time to ponder. But editor, Kyle Gilman, says it feels "a lot like Meanwhile crossed with Fay Grim." And that it's "very cool."

I'll take his word for it. What choice do I have? The last thing I remember is working through the night to make a good shot of a satellite dish falling off the roof of a motel. I think we did that. Small, tangible, personal victories!

We start editing Monday. More soon.
