EACH AND EVERY CONTRIBUTION MAKES A HUGE IMPACT!!!
HERE ARE SOME OF THE REWARDS YOU WILL RECEIVE:
Pamela Hayden is an actress, writer and lyricist, best known for voicing “Milhouse” on the Emmy-Award-winning show The Simpsons. Eddie Dayan is an ex-con with a genius I.Q. who spent 23 years of his life in prison. They met and fell in love at an abusive boarding facility when they were teenagers. The new documentary, “Send Chocolate & Marlboros” will deliver an eye-opening look into their lives then and now. Upon their release, their lives took very different turns, which this film will depict through their individual and shared experiences. We’ll also film them as they re-unite for the first time in decades. This documentary will be a rare and intimate portrait of two vibrant individuals who, in the final analysis, refused to allow an abusive system to determine their fate. This film is about overcoming adversity and the triumph of the human spirit.
We want to show people of all ages, but especially kids, that you aren't defined by the challenges you've had to overcome or the obstacles you face. Our desire is to impart a message of hope to people who have 'fallen through the cracks', to tell them that their lives do matter, and that things can get better. We'd be honored if you choose to support our project. Thank you!
We plan to shoot a total of 22 days in Los Angeles, Portland, Cleveland and Lewisburg, PA.
We will begin filming in Los Angeles, where Pamela resides, in October and then on to Portland, Oregon, where Eddie lives. From there we will go to Cleveland, Ohio, where Pamela and Eddie met, and they will reunite for the first time in decades. After Cleveland, we travel to Lewisburg, PA, to the federal prison where Eddie served the majority of his sentence under brutal conditions. We will be keeping all our contributors abreast of our weekly progress from the beginning of shooting to the completion of editing. We hope to complete principal photography by the middle of December and start post production in January. Post production will include editing and musically scoring the film. Once the film is completed, we will mail/e-mail digital and DVD copies to our Kickstarter contributors and submit the film to festivals. We will also explore traditional TV outlets and video on demand, etc.

Risks and challenges
It 's our first Kickstarter campaign and we're doing our best to minimize the inherent risks, including, but not limited to: possible flight delays, inclement weather (we'll shoot interiors) pulling permits, etc. We're prepared for the worst, by putting contingency plans in place for unforeseen occurrences. We've done our due diligence in researching Kickstarter and reaching out to people on Twitter, Facebook, our e-mail contacts, personal friends and Pamela Hayden’s ("Milhouse") fan base from "The Simpson’s.” We also have a really fun selection of rewards for our contributors.
-Completing the film.
We've put together experienced filmmakers and a versatile crew who have worked on and completed documentaries and features together,
